Regardless of your goal, whether it is to lose fat, build muscle or just perform better in the gym, sleep is crucial in order for you to move towards that goal faster!

Here are 3 tips to ensure you get good quality sleep:

1️⃣ Take a magnesium supplement 30 minutes before bed- this will ensure that the sleep you get is good quality deep sleep.

Yeah. I know how that goes…

I used to spend hours scrolling and comparing my progress to #12weektransformation posts wondering why I didn’t look like them or why my progress wasn’t as quick as theirs.
My self confidence was low, I wore baggy clothes to hide my body, and I hated the feeling of walking into a room and feeling insecure.

Feeling like everyone’s eyes were starring at me and only seeing me for being fat and not who I really was.
⠀
Beyond the fat…

Can anyone relate?
⠀
If you never learn to slow down, and celebrate the small wins 🥇that you have, you will always feel like:
You’re never quite satisfied.
Never proud of your current body.
Always craving more and more until you feel like you’re happy.
⠀
If there’s one thing I know, it’s that as humans, we are flawed.
With flaws, comes the constant need and desire to want to change or “fix” these flaws in our bodies until they’re perfect or look like Kim kardashians body.
⠀
But our “flaws” are what make us beautiful & unique.
⠀
And what we fail to realize is that in order to change or enjoy the process/journey, we must slow down and shift our mindset.
Because if you think that by losing 15 pounds by going on a 30 day detox cleanse is going to make you happy, you are sadly mistaken.
⠀
What you will have to sacrifice in order to lose the 15 pounds will not be sustainably and will weigh heavily on your quality of life.
⠀
You NEED to work on your thoughts, emotions, and feelings towards yourself.
So whether you are trying to hit a goal weight or pants size.. you need to focus on YOU first.
⠀
I can say this from years of talking myself down, looking at my stomach in the mirror and being disgusted with my fat, crying over the thought of never being able to find my life partner because I thought “how could someone love someone as fat as me”… literally years of hate talking myself.

Each day I walk into a room and hold my head high. I learn to love more and more, each stretch mark, each scar, every roll that my body has…💕

Practice makes progress, and I’m happy with that.

For the majority of clients I’ve worked with we haven’t had to track food in much detail to see results as general lifestyle changes and a solid gym routine will be enough to start with,  however if you have been trying to lose weight for a while and can’t seem to budge any more lbs give it a try, track things as you go, it doesn’t take much time, and it’s really easy. Use apps such as myfitnesspal for the most accurate tracking or just write your food log down on a pad as you go about your day.

2 reasons this is likely to work: Number 1 is it will educate you on how many calories you are actually eating, you may be surprised what you’re taking in each day. Number 2 is that by recording EVEYTHING you eat and drink you may realise habits such as snacks and picking at food you never thought mattered.
