Happy Friday!! Here are 2 leg exercises for you to help tighten and tone those thighs. ..

If your gym has a prowler or a “sled” do yourself a favor and use it!  Most of the time you see people simply pushing the sled but the real magic for the hamstrings (or back or the thighs) comes from pulling it!  Grip the handles in the middle, fully extend the arms, pull your shoulders down away from your ears, squat down and pull the sled as you walk backwards.  The burn you feel is soooo real and intense! ..

The 2nd exercise is a modification of the traditional Bulgarian split squat.  A wider stance and leaning the chest into the thigh forces you to press through your heels and gives you a nice burn in the glutes and hamstrings.  Try doing these slow and controlled without weights first!  Body weight is hard enough to begin.  Start with 2-3 sets of 10-15 reps. ..

Read that quote again. It sounds weird huh🤔 But it’s true.

I had this crazy weird teacher last year that actually gave me really good life lessons but I didn’t know she did at that time. At that time I thought she was vague😂.

But she learned me to think differently. If you make the stuff you are dealing with your problem and your responsibility, you’ll see that you can do something about it. You don’t have to wait until the person/company is going to act on it anymore. You can start with finding a solution first. It sounds stupidly easy but a lot of people forget that they can. Listen to them when they complain, they’re always nagging about being the victim of someone else his fault. 
They forget that they can plan the things they want to do around a busy schedule, they can get up earlier if their bus driver is always late, they can go home if their boss is demanding them to work late and the list goes on and on. If it truly is that important to you, take action on it.

Although I workout regularly, and have a pretty solid morning ritual, something has felt off recently. I have gotten too used to this routine, and no longer am feeling the same benefits. .
.
I woke up this morning and knew my body needed a shock to the system.  I almost can’t explain it…I needed to to MOVE FAST + SWEAT.  I was craving the breathlessness that only comes from high intensity workouts.
.
.
“I feel most free when I feel so breathless, that is a euphoric state for me…that’s why I want to go faster, I want that moment. The ultimate tool for success is finding a relationship with yourself that is not defined by what you see in the mirror because the mirror will lie to you.” @kirstygodso .

If there is one thing I have learned about myself it that as much as I crave routine I also need to flexible and aware enough of when it’s time to shake things up….as a result I have had one of the most productive days in weeks. .
.
We all feel stuck sometimes, if this resonates with you at all it probably is a sign that you also would benefit from doing something totally different with your morning. Change your workout, your breakfast, your clothes, your hair, or for the last minute of your shower turn it to cold. Do it to wake up, to see your world with a different pair of lenses. Do it for you.

Yes, we are moving in reverse here ... I’m slacking on my posting, so this is 2 weeks late and #vacation in reverse ... #workout with mom at @exhalemiami . Decided to take an off day from my workouts and instead do a #barre class + convince my mom to join. In the @ritzcarltonbalharbour you’d expect it to be #tourists and pretty shvach but nope, this was an actual workout. I sweat, for reals. I was sore. We used #freeweights #exerciseball #bandsbandsbands for a full body #barreworkout ... here goes - instructor - 9/10 - attention to individuals, explanations, modifications, reminder of time left, everything!; workout - 8/10 - I rarely do barre but this was a nice change of pace and it actually was challenging. Not a #sweatfest but it was 95 degrees out so I could get my sweat in elsewhere; studio - 9/10 - let’s be real, it’s in #theritzcarlton , what are you expecting? They even have #free almonds outside the room! Misc - 10/10 - name what you need, they have it ... all of it! Water, almonds, benches, quiet rooms, couches, sauna, showers, razors, Oh and a plus... they gave us a card to get #freeclass in ny! This is what happens when the Teen asks me to train him to help him bulk a little.  Lol.  Shoulders are his weak spot so we worked those, in addition to chest, biceps, triceps and abs this weekend.  The video is the 2nd set so he was a bit fatigued- he was upset I didn’t record the first set. 😂🤣🤷🏽‍♀️ He’s definitely stronger than he was last summer so I can tell with consistency he’ll see some nice results by fall. ☺️☺️

- shoulder presses x 10 reps
- upright rows x 10 reps
- push ups x 15 reps
