I believe it’s important to explore movement as we get older, it doesn’t matter what kind of movement it is....especially as ex-athletes, us “wounded warriors”.
I remember a time, just a couple years ago, I thought that was it, I was 40, 230lbs and couldn’t have imagined spending a couple hours at a doing movements like these. Now on the eave of my 43rd birthday I feel younger, stronger and more flexible than I’ve ever felt in my life.
I am so grateful to have connected with the Yoga and Acro community in Kimberley and Cranbrook. Movement allows me to explore and challenge my very being, mentally, physically, spiritually...it puts me into uncomfortable places and challenges me to find some peace there, some understanding even.
The people I’ve met are real, genuine and trusting humans. They teach me something new everyday about myself as I move through and into my middle aged life, optimistic about the potential for new and exciting experiences. .
