I redid the 1st book cover I made which belonged to the genre "World History - Civilization & Culture" but I decided to add the remake a contemporary flavor, because violence isn't just a "world history", for it's in present, too. Because of that, I wanted to mix it with the genre "Contemporary" to make it feel complete. I'll also explain the symbolism below:
Explaining the symbolism =
1 - The author's name having a religious font tells that the most of the wars are made in the names of the holy books' authors'. It could be interpreted as either God writing them or humans, but it makes no difference that both lead to the same violence anyway.
2 - I wanted to mainly use the 3 colors black, white and red, because in every civilization language, light and dark and red colors were first named. The 4th color is brown and its tones, because those are the colors of humans who named the colors.
3 - The smoke in the background is to tell that the dust in the world never settles. Always a war, somewhere, someplace.
4 - The structure of spears in between and on the title say that civilizations are built with sharp edged weapons. Either with a spear or a bullet.
5 - The hand on the bottom has two meanings: 1. A hand can commit a murder by its own, or it can create what could be murdered with. 2. The finger points towards forward, for violence helped civilizations end another civilizations while advancing their own.
6 - The Ancient Greek style font means that even the gods which humans have created were violent like them.
7 - The hieroglyph hand is to tell that we've learned the ancient civilizations committing violence from hieroglyphs.
I hope you'll like it.
