WE'RE ALL ON ASSIGNMENT ~ Watch for signs: ~ Kicking Eagle
Sometimes we try to figure out what other people's #assignments are, and some are still trying to figure out what their own assignment is. Sometimes we take a simple message and make it so complicated that others don't 'get' it. Here's a short story about a couple of well-intending #Christians that might have simplified their message. ~KE "A #pastor and a #priest were driving along a #country road, pretty far off the beaten path. Each had just finished their Sunday sermon. After traveling slowly for a few miles down a winding #unpaved road, they rounded a curve and saw the old wooden #bridge ahead. They drove slowly up to the bridge, looked it over, and decided they'd better go back the way they came. They backed up and to the side of the road to turn around. Then, the pastor had the idea that they should make a sign to warn anyone else traveling the road. He opened the trunk, took out a big piece of cardboard, and using a large #magic marker from the glove compartment, he wrote his sign: “STOP! YOU MUST TURN AROUND NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!” Just as the sign was finished, they heard a truck coming down the road. The pastor and the priest took hold of the sign, one on each end, and got out on the road a little so that the driver could be sure to see them & the sign. Well, the driver saw them and he saw their black robes. He stomped on the accelerator as he sped by, leaned out the window and gave them a sign of his own. He yelled: “Get out of the way, you #religious nuts!” The truck sped on around the curve and a few seconds later the pastor and the priest heard a crash and then, a big splash.
They looked at each other and the pastor said to the priest: “Do you think maybe we should have just said: “BRIDGE OUT AHEAD"?" Cindy, PR Kicking Eagle International
