Aston Martin DB AR1 Zagato (2003-2004)
The DB Roadster 1 was derived from the Aston DB7 and based on the DB7 Vantage Volante convertible. Bodystyle was revised by Zagato of Italy and incorporated coachwork and a number of finely engineered dynamic elements, which offered a different dimension to the Aston Martin driving experience.
Available only as a two-seater, the DB AR1 was powered by the all alloy, 6.0-litre V12 engine. It churned out 435hp and 410 lb/ft, capable of reeling off the miles while providing a sharper accelerating driver experience.
An AP twin plate racing clutch was used to replace the single plate clutch from on the DB7 Vantage. Zagato added the revised quick-shift gear lever to AP1 that had also been fitted to the DB7 GT
