If you have trouble with some bad habits when it comes to eating here are some tips that can help. 🍒Give it time, changing habits doesn’t happen overnight. Don’t beat yourself up if it doesn’t stick right away. 🍒Make small changes, don’t try to make large purges all at once and change everything. Try saying something like I’ll eat my snacks on a plate or in a bowl instead of out of the bag. Even if you go back for seconds it’s still a win and don’t short change that!
🍒Instead of cutting things out add things in. Yes I’m telling you to eat more, eating more healthy nutrient dense foods will not only help you feel better and keep you feeling full. Instead of cutting out chocolate add some fruits and veggies sometimes the best way to break bad habits is to make some good habits. 🍒Always celebrate the small victories. No change is small and insignificant. Even if you only did one thing a little bit differently be excited about that because it’s a step in the right direction and just imagine all those small win adding up and where you will be 6 months from now!

Just take a band, a towel to use as an handle,  and anchor it to your squat rack or some other structure that sits above your head⠀

Completely different body shape but guess what I weigh about the same. In the first picture I thought I needed to lose all this weight to be happy. But here I am 3 years later and I weigh the same. Stop obsessing over the scale it can literally mean nothing. If I only went by scale I would think I made zero progress. Pictures and measurements are way more helpful, also looking at how much weight you are moving. 
I wasted years obsessing over the numbers and didn’t get very far. You don’t have to lose a ton of weight and make yourself miserable to reach your goals.

Batwings or Beautiful biceps.... the choice is yours... It seems to be the case with each passing year, especially for women, that the inevitable passage of time can bring about changes in our bodies that we are not particularly happy about.  You may not notice it at first, but the natural decline in muscle mass that occurs, along with increasing body fat levels, when not consistently engaging in some type of resistance training and eating right, can leave your once firm arms flapping in the wind and you wondering what to do? 
The solution to this dilemma is quite simple.... hop off your favorite piece of cardio equipment and venture into the weight room.. Now I realize that the weight room at first can seem intimidating, especially if you've been a cardio bunny 🐰 for most of your life and that's understandable.  After all, it is typically a male dominated area of the gym with big heavy weights that could leave anyone feeling intimidated, especially if you've spent the majority of your "fitness life" on the exercise bike, treadmill or attended a female dominated exercise class.

One of the best ways to overcome this obstacle and achieve a set of arms you'd be proud to show off is by hiring a trainer, at least initially, to show you the ropes.  A knowledgeable trainer will put you at ease in the weight room by showing you the correct way to lift with proper form which will increase your confidence and put you on the path to achieving real results.

Personally, hiring my trainer Erik @erikbachrach was one of the best decisions I could have made because I learned proper weight lifting form, goal specific nutrition strategies which has enabled me to achieve the results I was seeking.

So damn proud of myself!!! Over the past year I’ve been working to build muscle while losing fat, and I’m seeing such great results! My body holds onto weight like no other, so seeing this huge change of muscle definition and losing 3 inches off my waist is so awesome!
