Let’s welcome the weekend with these madeleines and a cup of tea, shall we?There is something so soothing and calm about having a madeleine, a delicacy so little yet has the ability to stop time and just simply enjoy every bite of life. Cheesy as it may be, I think life is better lived with little moments like these so why not indulge.
Thank you to the lovely @lu.bakery for nominating me to #tell5tag5 . So here’s a bit about MarieLou:
1. I come from a Bulgarian background where food is a huge part of our culture (you could say that’s where part of my passion for food comes from)
2. I like all things old, antique (sometimes I think i was born from another era 😂) 3. Listening to classical musics helps me focus best
4. I love to write and it comes easily to me. I could write all day long if i could
5. Attending the #fweworkshop in Bordeaux changed my entire perspective and inspired my work til this day. Thank you @evakosmasflores and to all the wonderful women I met along the way ❤️ And last but not least, my baking fail: 5. My second attempt at making the traditional Greek kourabiedes cookies. I prepared the dough for a double batch (so i could give away for gifts), the dough itself looked fine, but once i put them in the oven they completely lost their shape! They looked like someone stepped on them and were incredibly over sweet, so i had to throw out double the amount of cookie dough! It was not a pretty sight... wasted so many products but what can you do... life of a baker problems :) I nominate @linda_lomelino @inesananasehortela @sylviasimplelife @twiggstudios @cocoebaunilha
