Bearing this in mind aswell as my initial two posts in regards to understanding energy balance (if you haven't read them go and catch up before reading on) you can see that utilising a combination of decreasing calorie intake, food selection, increased activity through direct exercise and general activity can give a much clearer picture of how to approach things if wish to make things sustainable in the long term.

If you feel as if you are not making any progress, one of the 6 above mentioned reasons will be one of the reason’s why. 
What many people do not know who are new to lifting is that nutrition is more important than the actual lifting itself if you want to gain muscle. You are only able to gain muscle, once your diet is appropriate to do so. If you’re not eating correctly, you can forget most of the hard work in the gym, because you still won’t be able to gain muscle. So make sure you have the nutrition side of the diet properly set up. 
Also make sure you get enough sleep, at least 7 hours a day. The more you sleep, the more time for recovery, meaning you’re maximising gains!

💪Building habits and routines that implement these rules will put you on track to easily lose over 50 pounds of fat in a single year! Crazy what a little change in perspective can do huh?

💪🏼 Following on from previous post, protein is a pretty important macro nutrient. It helps us build lean muscle tissue when in a calorie surplus and it helps retain muscle mass when in a deficit. It also plays an important role in your hair, skin, nails and organs. Therefore eating enough protein rich food in your diet is pretty damn important if your going to achieve your goals. It also keeps you full for longer which is pretty helpful when trying to lose weight/fat!

⚠ But what foods are rich in protein? Here’s a list:

🍗 Poultry - Chicken and turkey are both very lean sources of protein, meaning they have little fat content in them, so they are a great source to go to.
.
🍖 Red meat - These are rich in protein but tends to contain higher levels of saturated fat. Perfectly fine to eat just be sure to take note of that extra fat.
.
🐟 Fish - Fish tends not to have as much protein in it as meat. Meaning you will have to eat a fair bit more of it to get the same amount of protein. Tuna is the highest protein fish to consume.
.
🥚 Eggs - Egg whites have a lot of lean protein in them. The yolk still contains protein but also contains more fat.
.
🥜 Nuts - Nuts have a small amount of protein in them. Trouble is you will have to eat a lot of them to get a significant amount on board. This might be a problem if you are trying to lose weight as they contain a lot of fat also.

🍶Yogurt - Yogurt contains protein and can be a great snack to increase those protein levels.

👨🏼🔬 Failing all of the above then by all means turn to supplements, they aren't going to hurt you and can be a great tool if you struggle to get enough protein in the diet from food. If you are like me, you have thought about this and it is quite simple.  You would think that you would reduce the calories due to not exercising that day but what you might not have thought about was that your TDEE while being 'Daily' usually encompasses a week especially if you are looking at a calculator. If you were to reduce calories down on rest days you would need to increase calories on every other day.  Additionally, on rest day's your body still needs ample amounts of fuel to restore glycogen stores and to prepare the body for the upcoming workouts.⠀

Ingredientes: 
4 ovos

1 abacate médio, maduro, cortado em fatias

4 unidades de torrada de pão integral

1 litro de água

2 colheres (sopa) de vinagre branco
. Sal a gosto
.pimenta do reino a gosto

Modo de preparo

Em uma panela média, coloque quatro dedos de água e o vinagre. Leve ao fogo baixo até que pequenas bolhas se formem no fundo (não deixe a água ferver). Gire a água rapidamente com uma colher para formar um rodamoinho. Coloque o ovo no centro e continue a mexer em círculo delicadamente por cerca de 4 minutos ou até que a clara fique firme.

Retire o ovo da água com uma escumadeira e coloque sobre um papel-toalha para secar completamente. Repita o processo com os outros ovos.

Monte as torradas: coloque o abacate e, por cima, o ovo poché. Tempere com o sal e a pimenta moída na hora.

the bottom left is actually a zero calorie mug Cake i made using oat fiber, stevia and water. I thought about sharing it with you guys but it tasted absolutely horrible - almost inedible - even after using zero calorie golden syrup. So maybe not. Lol. For this video I wanted to talk about how you can use spotting to get more out of your training.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In the case of machines where you can noticeably feel the load increase as you get into a weaker position without a spot you'll have to call the set.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Whereas with a little assistance to feed you through to the peak contraction as in the video, you can extend the set whilst still directing load to the target muscle.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This can be especially benificial with your arm training.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After all beach season is coming so an extra 1% will go along way 😎

🔸La risposta è molto semplice: è tutta colpa (o merito) della genetica.

Nel nostro corpo, all’interno di ogni muscolo, ci sono tipi diversi di fibre muscolari che vengono classificate in base alla loro capacità di resistere alla fatica e alla velocità di contrazione. In generale si può osservare che, in soggetti diversi, all’interno dello stesso muscolo, il numero di fibre rimane pressoché invariato, invece maggiori differenze riguardano la composizione quantitativa del muscolo.

Le fibre muscolari si possono suddividere in tre categorie:

🔸Fibre rosse o ST (tipo I) a contrazione lenta
🔸Fibre bianche o FT (tipo IIb) a contrazione rapida
