One of the fitness clients I train is a woman in her late fifties who lost her husband six months ago. Despite her pain and struggles she has gone through, she has gotten to a point of inner peace and acceptance. I asked her how she was able to get through such an ordeal.
She paused, looked at me, and said “You need to embrace the season of life you are in...good or bad.” It struck me. All of us are in a season of life, and whether that season is one of peace or one of pain, we must recognize that the season must be accepted, embraced, and viewed with the perspective that this season will not last forever.
Right now, I am in a season where I am pushing and striving to get to the next level. It’s very tempting to try to rush things and bypass this point to get to the growth phase. But, this woman taught me that this season is meant to be embraced and not rushed. With consistency and persistence, I have faith that on the other side is something great.
