l primo pasto della giornata è quello che regola meglio i livelli di grelina, l'ormone della fame: la grelina aumenta prima dei pasti, ed è soprattutto la colazione che ne sopprime la produzione per le ore successive. Cosa significa? Che mangiare di più (ma coscienziosamente) a colazione significa avere mediamente meno appetito ai pasti seguenti. La colazione dovrebbe quindi essere completa e prevedere tutti i nutrienti di cui abbiamo bisogno, in smetteró mai di ripeterlo. 
Cappuccio e brioche (o dolce che sia) quindi? Non rappresentano propriamente il tripudio di “colazione completa”, essendo molto ricca di zuccheri aggiunti e grassi. Ma una volta a settimana possiamo dire di potercela concedere. Soprattutto se a quella colazione dedichiamo un momento speciale, insieme alla propria metà o con un’amica. Motivation doesn’t like to hang around. To tell you the truth my motivation levels suck (yes even for people in the health profession).⁣
Just recently I didn’t eat any vegetables of fruit for 2 weeks and for me this is a big thing - I always eat them everyday, I just didn’t want to - I couldn’t stomach them!⁣
But then I noticed a few changes in myself - mainly - I had absolutely no energy and I was constipated (some would say full of s!*@ 😂).⁣
⁣
So how I keep myself on track, I use 3 things:⁣
1. Knowledge - I know what I need to do to keep myself healthy, and I know what will happen if I don’t (no veg for a while = constipation for me).⁣
2. Habit - I’ve created an eating habit, if I don’t eat or drink something during the day it feels weird.⁣
3. My why - I remind myself of WHY I chose to change the way I eat in the first place (to be able to go to the toilet on a regular basis - constipation is a massive issue for me).⁣

So next time you’ve had a bad day/ week/ month, use your KNOWLEDGE, create a HABIT and remind yourself of your WHY. 🤗⁣

Get a hold of these... cherries r excellent sources of anthocyanin. These flavonoid compounds hv excellent antioxidant properties with multiple health benefits. So mostly all reddish, bluish n purplish coloured fruits n veggies are rich in anthocyanin n should be consumed raw n in it’s true natural form for better benefits. All berries, prunes, plumes, black grapes n outer peel of apples hv this flavonoid. Even egg plants outer purple peel is a source of anthocyanin. P. S. Next time u eat an apple or egg plant don’t remove the peels... rather wash n clean it well n consume it! (U would ofcourse cook/grill/bake the egg plant n not eat it raw✌🏻)Getting back to cherries... these yummy sweet n tangy treats aid in controlling blood pressure, cold, are anti inflammatory in nature so helps in arthritis n related pains too. Good for maintaining cardio vascular health. Excellent for skin, digestion n good for sleep too. Low in calories... half a cup@would give u only about 45 calories or so. Soups are such an easy meal! 🧡🧡

One pot wonders are right up my alley! Throw all the sad looking veggies at the bottom of your fridge into a pot with some stock and some coconut cream and you have a hearty warming veggie packed bowl of goodness 🤗 .
It's also a great way to make bulk for the rest of the week for a quick and easy meal without having to think of something to make every night!! This is a Thai inspired Coconut Pumpkin Soup!

Quite an easy recipe really - ginger
- lemongrass
- corriander stems
- garlic
- onion
- pumpkin
- stock of your choosing ( I used chicken)
- coconut cream
( I also had some sad looking zucchini and potatoes so I threw them in too 😋) You could also add some chili flakes for an extra kick!

You just want to cook off all the aromatic veg (ginger, garlic, lemongrass and corriander) with the onion to really bring out the flavour add your pumpkin then stock and coconut cream and cook until soft and then blitz into a creamy gloopy golden soup!!🧡

The bottom line- focus on current patients, physicians and other health professionals.

If anyone’s been wondering where I’ve been, the past 2 weeks have been 70 hour work weeks so I got plenty of exercise lol! But I gotta take care of my self for a little bit because my mental health has slowly gone down because of how exhausted I am all of the time. .

On a good note I made this Pinterest recipe but I used ground turkey , reduced fat cheese and reduced fat crescent rolls as well. Even the kids ate them so I know it was good even being low calorie/fat! . 
Trying to keep my self together but work is stressful 
Self love is low 
Exhaustion is high & 
Motivation comes and goes.

This can lead to elevated blood glucose levels in people with diabetes and people over or under consuming essential macronutrients. Yet, knowing how much of a certain food we should consume is key to maintaining good health. 
For instance, one cup of microwaveable brown rice has the same amount of carbohydrates as 4 slices of grain bread. The rice is also higher GI and has less fibre yet many people these days seem to be scared of bread due to all of the misinformation thrown around these days by non nutritional professionals. The 1 cup of rice is also equivalent to 4 medium potatoes. Or 60g total carbohydrates. By understanding serving equivalents we can introduce more variety into our diets.
