Philippines 🇵🇭 🌴 Malapascua Island 🌴
Before I flew to the Philippines 🇵🇭, I inquired where a good place for my diving course is. Mostly the answer was #malapascua . So I went there. Arrived on Cebu by plane ✈️, I took the public bus northbound ➡️ Maya Port. Duration approx. 4-5h. From here it went by ferry ⛴ to the island. Took me about 30 minutes. The island is very small, you can cross the island once in 1,5h. The diving was great, I was not disappointed !
My experience and my tips:
- Everything is within walking distance, you don’t need a motor scooter 🛵 or something. Only for the north possibly scooter taxi for 25-30 Peso
- Jumping spot in the north “Lapus Lapus Cliff”. Go with a scooter taxi for 20-40 Peso and check the tide! Don’t jump at low tide. Ask the locals! Btw when I went there it was closed :(
- ask for accommodation when you get there. Don’t book before. Around 350 for solo traveler and around 500 double room)
- Dive with the Tresher Shark 🦈! It’s 2800 Peso / 48 euro 💶 at Dans Diving) I heard you can’t see them somewhere else !
Kalanggman Island 🌴
If you’re on Malapascua, take your time for this island 🌴! The transfer is easy from
Malapascua. There is a big sandbar great 👍 for pics.
