So happy about this. Even though I've lost 35lbs, I've managed to get stronger. The smaller log is way harder to clean and it throws me off a lot. But I know for sure I can get this weight on the bigger log. My friend - @philippostraining - reaction to my video:

I did 80 minutes incline treadmill this morning and after my podcast tonight I did a 50 minutes brisk walk enjoying this spectacular sunset and breathing in the intoxicating salty air. She would eat anything and everything, particularly chips, candies, and chocolate. “I didn’t exercise and I didn’t see the need to do that. I’m a nurse and I worked night shifts so because I had [a flexible work schedule] I had more time to hang out and eat anytime. Basically, I didn’t take care of myself.”

On November 22, 2016 Bigornia endured a terrible stroke that left her unable to see out of her right eye and unable to use her right hand. She also suffered from aphasia caused by the brain damage—which means she lost the ability to express or understand speech. All of this occurred when she was 30 years old and weighed 210 pounds (95 kg) at 5’1.” After the stroke, Bigornia knew she needed to change her life for the better.

She started exercising every day and followed the diet plan given to her by the hospital. She lost 20 pounds (9 kg) this way but hit a plateau after a few months. “The hardest part about losing weight is doubting myself,” she said. “Because I was used to being fat, I would self-sabotage because I thought I didn’t deserve the success.”

Since starting keto, Bigornia no longer feels tired in the middle of the day, or self-conscious about her weight, and she doesn’t crave junk food. “I feel like a new person!” Her journey to health made her realize that sleep is the most important thing in weight loss; apple cider vinegar helps you lose weight; coconut oil is great for weight loss but also hair, skin, and nails; autophagy is the best thing about keto and intermittent fasting; and you have to get healthy first for the weight loss to follow.

Since her stroke, Bigornia has lost 82 pounds (37 kg) and 62 of those pounds are thanks to keto and intermittent fasting. “I no longer have aphasia after eight months of speech therapy, I have restored the function of my right fingers, and I can now see colors in my right field of vision,” she said. “Now, I exercise – I box and do CrossFit and I’m enjoying it! I am a miracle and I am so excited for what the future holds.

My weight loss struggle was connected to 1 thing: my relationship with food. 🙈

If you’re anything like me, your emotional attachment to food is fighting against your goals and it can feel like an uphill battle with self sabotage. (**Did you know that what you eat matters even more than fitness when it comes to reaching a weight loss goal??) If you already knew that, you’re a step ahead of where I was, because I worked out hard for along time and saw minimal results… and it was all because I hadn’t cracked the nutrition code! (I’d actually heard that you can’t out-train a BAD DIET and nooowww I get it!!) Here are 3 KEY things that have helped me gain control over my relationship with food: ✌️Making Friends with Veggies 
I like the sound of “unlimited” more than “deprivation.” Ya know? Even the word makes me sad. I LOVE food, so limiting and depriving myself led to the dam inevitably breaking... and binging.  Instead, I turned my attention to foods I could eat without holding back… and that’s when I fell in love with veggies ✌️ Carbs Can Still be Friends, too

It doesn’t have to be a weight loss curse word!  Gimme the comfort foods! Rather than excluding ALL CARBS (not in this house!!), I focused on less calorie-dense options… and always have choices!  I just swap out flour-based things with yummy substitutes like zoodles (zucchini noodles!) and have you tried cauliflower pizza crust?! It’s amazing! I NEVER feel like I’m missing out, ever! ✌️ Stop the Rollercoaster, I’d like to get off

I discovered that living in extremes of “good days” (in other words: “STRICT”) and “bad days” just wasn’t sustainable.  In order to have a healthy, balanced relationship with food (and pass it along to my family!), I had to tell myself that life is about living, and not allowing food to dictate my self worth day-to-day.

I never had the a accountability before that I had needed to stay on track until I found this amazing community and coaching has brought it to the NEXT LEVEL!

It’s almost like dominos, everything goes fine until you get to the end. That’s typically when it’s stops rolling.

However, if you be patient and keep being persistent, you will eventually succeed.

To no beneficial/significant or practical extent can you focus the fat loss on your body.

With waist trimmers, detox teas or even focusing on a specific body part with your training. You cannot spot reduce fat.

The only way to loss fat in a specific area is to be in a caloric deficit and be patient until that “stubborn” area leans out.

Chocolate Avocado cookies 
So y’all know how much I love avocados and I eat them every day!  I’ve loved them every way I’ve had them except cooked. Well, fried in bacon grease one time was good. I love avocado brownies so I should love these. They’re beautiful and they turned out really well. 
I’m not in love with them. ☹️
Oh, I’ll eat them. But I taste cooked avocado and I don’t like that. Oh well. It was worth a try.

Chocolate Avocado cookies
So y’all know how much I love avocados and I eat them every day! I’ve loved them every way I’ve had them except cooked. Well, fried in bacon grease one time was good. I love avocado brownies so I should love these. They’re beautiful and they turned out really well.
I’m not in love with them. ☹️
