1)Hard work takes ZERO talent. 
2) Grinding every day to be your best self takes zero genetics. 
How many of y’all have had things in life not go your way? You didn’t make the football team, you didn’t get that job, you didn’t run fast enough to qualify for the NY Marathon, etc. Has this been you? Use your failures or a “thing” that didn’t go as planned as an opportunity. Don’t use it as an excuse to quit. We can accomplish ANYTHING we are willing to work for. Doors open and close all the time. Sometimes a door closing can lead to an even bigger opportunity, but you must use your ability to work hard to keep going! If you want something in life, you grind, you work hard day in and day out, and you don’t quit! Did Tiger stop? Clearly not. Look where that got him! 
You 👏🏻keep 👏🏻grinding. You are worth all of those goals you set in life. Turn your failure into success! Dream big and go for it!

I vividly remember one of my nursing profs saying she never thought she would be a professor, but she couldn’t stand the thought of ceasing to learn - so she just kept going back to school! At the time, I was about to graduate and couldn’t imagine ever wanting to go back to school again. I wanted to be DONE. And then I could live my life! -
Funny how things work out the way they do. ✨ Turns out God had bigger plans for me than I had for myself. No I didn’t go back to school, but I did discover a passion for helping others in a different way - and fell in love with it and with the community of fabulous women right here! 💚

360 baby! I did it a total of 9 times!!! I couldn’t bring my legs closer to myself- I’m short and the sled stops, either way, I am getting strong AF. Mary and I kicked absolute ass in the gym tonight. 
We worked together (but she really did most of the work) to put together a plan for us tonight to change it up and it was LIIIIIIIIT. No joke y’all. 
It felt damn good. Low reps, heavy weight, sweat all night. It was one for the books. I’ll remember it forever, and I’ll feel it for the next 3 days, I know it. Thanks Mary! .

I haven’t always been proud of these wheels. In fact, up until 2 years ago I pretty much DESPISED my legs. They were no doubt my biggest insecurity. ⠀

I couldn’t find jeans that fit.⠀
I never felt comfortable in shorts.⠀
I stopped wearing short dresses.⠀
And I even stopped training them as hard 🙄⠀
⠀
But then I saw how much weight they could move.⠀
And then I started noticing them looking pretty bada$$ in photos like these.⠀
It was then I decided — EMBRACE THEM | OWN THEM⠀
⠀
So guess what?⠀
You better believe I’m whipping my shorts out this summer.⠀
You most definitely will see me working them [hard] in the gym every week.⠀

Why? Because I learned to turn an insecurity into self-love and embrace my body for its ability and not its appearance.⠀

Today I was thinking back to 8 or 9 years ago - I was between jobs and hesitant to take any job that I was offered. I knew what I wanted and I knew what I DID'T WANT!!! The time came that I did have to take something that came along - even though it was a giant step backwards because we needed me to be working, BUT sitting at that job, I would dream of a job that would allow me flexibility, that didn't squash my entrepreneurial spirit (aka not being told what to do!). A job that would all me to have the freedom to do what I want, when I want! 
I absolutely HATED being stuck in a cubicle, being micro managed, and being restrained - I felt stifled in a corporate work environment! 
If I only knew then what I know now! 
I talk to so many ladies who are thinking about starting a family and I can't even put into words how this coaching opportunity can change the course of your life! 
What I would have done for someone to introduce me to this BEFORE I had kids!! I could have avoided all of the tear-filled train rides leaving my babies at home while I headed to work.  I could avoided spending hours a day in the mother's room at work.  I could have avoided the anxiety of thinking that I was going to miss my babies' firsts... We can't change the past, but when I learned that I could build a business from home, in those little pockets of mom life, I jumped on it!! Coaching has offered me the ability to work when it's convenient for me & my family - work as little or as much as I want, and build an income from home! 1️⃣ Take note of WHY & WHEN you are over eating. Is it after a stressful day? Is it when your bored? Is it after a specific meal? WHEN are you overeating the most?⁣

2️⃣ After you identify step 1, ask yourself what are you really hungry for? Is it stress relief? Is it to fill a void? Is it to just fill your boredom? ⁣

3️⃣ Now that you know why + when and what the real reason your over eating is, create new healthier habits. Whenever you find yourself feeling that feeling you identified in step 2 and in the situation you identified in step 1, get out of the kitchen and away from food! Create a new habit in place of the old. Go for a walk, distract your mind. Busy your hands. Get outside. ⁣

4️⃣ Stop blaming yourself for when you slip up and overeat. Instead, dive deep into the three steps above and gain a better understanding of yourself at the real core of the problem 💖⁣

Keep the negative slow! 
2️⃣Neutral-Grip Lat-Pulldown 🔸️4x15 
Lean back slightly to target those lats, and bring the handle all the way to your chest for full range of movement! 
3️⃣Wide-Grip Rows 🔸️4x15
One of my staple back exercises, used this really cool rogue bar! With wide rows you get a lot of Lat and rear delt activation, which is why I chose this grip! 
4️⃣T-Bar Rows
🔸️4x12
I love this movement because it is solely isolating the back, with no leg momentum or rocking. It is one of the best for inner-back thickness! 
5️⃣Chest Supported Dumbbell Rows
🔸️3x12 
I kept the tempo slow, squeezing at the top of the movement. You can feel that pump, and target your inner and outer back! Dont need to go heavy to feel these 😜

For those of you that just started following me, let me tell you that I didn’t always workout from home.  In fact, I used to LOVE being apart of a gym. The ladies of my gym and I grew really close and developed wonderful friendships that grew outside just breaking a sweat together.

So if a few years ago you would have asked me to start a workout program with you where I worked out from home...I would have totally said NO THANK YOU. I wasn’t going to give up my community.  But here’s the thing...I also wasn’t seeing results.  Year after year, my body didn’t show any real improvements. And I now know why.

One word - NUTRITION.

I was missing the most important aspect of healthy living. Regardless of what I claimed to have been doing at the time...I really had no clue. So now let’s back up...if you would have asked me several years ago to look into doing a nutrition program with you WHILE I still go to the gym I loved...I would have most definitely considered it.

So, that’s exactly what I want to ask all my gym-goers out there - how is your nutrition going for you?  Are you spending hours each week at the gym or running outside and not seeing your body change?  It seems not fair that you train so hard and are not reaping the rewards. Sometimes you must dare to jump into the things that scare you✨

I started this week off with a lot of time to sit quietly in nature and reflect on life and all the weird and wonderful aspects of it. In this time I made a pledge to myself to jump into any and every new opportunity that comes my way. No more being hesitant or scared or worried about what people might think (my biggest flaw). Too many great opportunities passed me by last year because I was too busy thinking WHAT IF, instead of just going for it and doing the damn thing. 
So here's to saying YES, taking chances and trusting the timing of this crazy little thing we call life ✨

TIPS AND GOAL SETTING ADVICE
Set targets: Find your goal, make the plan and work towards it!
• Baby Steps: To set yourself up for success, think about planning a healthy diet as
a number of small, manageable steps—like adding a salad to your diet once a
day—rather than one big drastic change. As your small changes become habit,
you can continue to add more healthy choices.
• Patience is key: You must be patient and your results will follow
• Manage your time: If you don’t do this well then everything that makes you
healthy suffers – you won’t get enough sleep, you won’t have time to prepare
healthy foods, and you won’t find the time to exercise. Book appointments for
the gym or some time for yourself in your diary just as you would meetings f or
work or the family.
Food is a basic need for the efficient functioning of the human body. The human
body needs a specific quantity of different ingredients to function.
• Cut back on regular tea and coffee in take which are high in caffeine. Substituting
all-natural green tea is an excellent way to boost your weight loss and your
health. Not only does it have the power to boost your metabolism, but it also
contains the highest concentration of catechins, antioxidants found in plants that
have been found to protect against heart disease and even some cancers. Sip on
a few cups of green tea throughout the day to get all of its amazing benefits.
• Food diaries can also help target areas for improvement. For instance, a food
diary might make someone realize that he or she is eating 1,000 calories at lunch
and set a goal to trim lunches. Jotting down everything you consume will
encourage you to eat a healthy diet and be physically active. Diet diaries
are a powerful tool that make you accountable for the food you are
putting in your body and they also increase awareness of where those extra calories are coming from.

Actually, the “couch” is what I decided to get off and get into the best shape of my life and inspire others to do the same!!

But hey, I get it lady. I felt the same way. Gotta be an idiot to join something like that, cause my uncle did it and lost money...

But you see, pyramids are illegal and this coaching thing, this "illegal pyramid scheme", yeah well it changed my life, makes me happy and it made it so I can laugh at you instead of give up on my dreams and help others because it also improved my self respect, confidence and my “I DON'T GIVE FUCK” kind of attitude to other people's uninformed and unsolicited opinions.

Well, fortunately I have fallen victim to a "pyramid scheme" and I have more respect for myself than ever, partially for doing what I want despite what others think of me, especially those who are bitter and misinformed.

I wouldn't have it any other way, and I will sign up again and again and again...because  starting my own biz for $180 bucks gave me my HEALTH my COMMUNITY and our ability to TRAVEL and PAY DOWN DEBT and a FUTURE I GET TO CREATE!!

THE ALL CLASS GYM, WORTH IT? 💦 I finally checked out the trendy new member studio @fithouse which ONLY offers workout classes as opposed to your standard fitness equipment (cardio, weights, etc) AND classes. tbh I was super skeptical about the quality of the classes before coming here. I’ve been a member of @equinox for almost a decade (I went in hs) and their classes can be super hit or miss.⠀

I waited to take a couple different classes and instructors before posting this review to ensure I really vetted the place for you guys. I’m still blown away by the intensity of the classes - they were tough! every instructor I’ve taken has been phenomenal. and now that they have showers, the facilities are top notch. so far, I‘ve taken BOUNCE + SCULPT, and can’t wait to go back and try their other classes — looking at you BARRE 👀⠀

not sure if I’d give up an equinox membership for this place, but only bc I do love the occasional heavy lifting day or mindless elliptical session when I’m feeling lazy. ⠀
