I run 3 x 5k every week. Every month. Every year.  Never miss a week - as a 46yo working mum thats NOT easy.  Strava says since starting running 4 1/2yrs ago I have run 770 times/3436km. It has changed my life in ways I never thought possible. Oh and I’ve finally treated myself to an actual running watch 😁

I’ve been looking at these photos non stop all day debating on whether to post them or not. As I get a little self conscious whenever I see how much weight I’ve gained.

In BOTH photos I was not happy in my skin. I made this account because I want to show everyone what fitness journeys are really like.

I want people to be able to see the TRUTH when it comes to fitness. It’s not pretty, it’s not easy and people portray on Instagram lies about it all.

My old account wasn’t how I wanted it to be so I have now started fresh!

For those who don’t know me, I’m a 21 year old student who has passion and ambition for fitness. -
I spiralled out of control last year, my mental health got the best of me so I struggled a lot to keep my head in the game!

Bc old me would of done extra cardio and restricted all day today and hated myself and been angry... the new me is going to do my original planned workout (no extra!), eat same foods planned for today and move on! Thankfully, I’ve got a yoga class today so maybe I’ll stretch all this pain out. This meal is my protein waffle recipe, it took me a while to get this to work. I used to hate recipes that have banana in them so I tried to find something new. ⁣I added some @enjoylifefoods chocolate chips. Also used the @bodybuildingcom signature protein powder in Mocha Cappuccino ❤️

I was suuuuuuuposed to start my home based upper body lifting challenge today BUT my shoulder is killing me from boxing yesterday. I'm super excited to try some new at home lifting workout though with how crazy my schedule has been lately and nursing my poor little shoulder. All you need is a set of dumbbells! .
But I am in bulk phase and working on these legs and booty lifting HEAVY....pushing PRs...progressive overload...working on that quad separation. I've been super consistent with 3 days a week. I have got so much strong, nearly doubling weight in certain exercises. I barely ever get sore anymore so I'm going to have pushing harder! Not that sore is necessarily a measure of whether you worked out but, for me, I know form well so I know when my workouts aren't leaving me a little more that I can push forward.

Here I’m mixing some iso-holds, strength and dynamic effort all into one circuit. Focusing on completing every rep with intention.

Performing the 1️⃣chin-up iso hold for 10 seconds getting the shoulders, core and back nice and engaged before hitting the2️⃣DB chest supported row really carries over well and helps the3️⃣floor press feel smooth and allows me to lift more weight and keeps shoulders feeling good then I’ll finish off with some explosive4️⃣med. ball chest passes

I’ll go through the entire sequence at a decent pace. Then after one round I’ll rest 60-90 seconds and then increase load if needed and then repeat.

I’ll go through the entire sequence at a decent pace. Then after one round I’ll rest 60-90 seconds and then increase load if needed and then repeat.
