This view is everything. It’s at the top of mile 3 of my 20k today. I had to stop to take a moment to take in it. I would not be lying if I didn’t say today was anything less than a challenge @skippotrailrace.
In the middle of my race I thought to myself about the many reasons to stop and just as many to not even go today.
1. I was cold haha 😆 (-8c)
3. Baby less than 5 months ago
4. Not much sleep night before
5. Almost late for the start
But in that moment I though about how I was able to challenge myself and found a reason to smile. I couldn’t feel my hands and I had 6 more miles to run. At that point, most of my body was hurting and my feet were soaked but I manage to put a smile on my face and dig deep for strength to carry me through to finish.
Because when you finish something you set out as a challenge for yourself. It is easy to forget about all those other problems or things you thought stood in the way before. In reality those “things”, that’s just life. Life is what we decide to make of it. Today I’m thankful for the ability to make something of my life and for the support from my family (Alex and Antonella our my #1 supporters and my drive). And to come home and watch the Boca vs. River Final😜🤙🏼
