Wat is jouw specifieke doel? 
Met @shirrleyy88 gaat het super goed! Na haar tweede zwangerschap was haar doel duidelijk! Het is tijd om zichzelf sterker en fitter te voelen! 
Ze is nu een paar weken bezig en ze voelt zich nu al beter! We behalen al goede resultaten qua gewicht en omvang. Maar wat heel belangrijk is, is dat het duidelijk was dat na de bevalling een aantal spiergroepen vast zaten maar ook behoorlijk aan de korte kant waren. 
We werken er momenteel aan om deze los te maken want dit helpt namelijk om goede soepele bewegingen te creëren. 
Daarom is het heel belangrijk om na de zwangerschap en bevalling slim om te gaan met sporten! 
Je zult eerst je lichaam moeten verbeteren en daarna komen tempo, kracht en conditie aan de orde. Want alles is na zwangerschap verzwakt: banden, spieren, houding, spanning, hormonen etc. 
Dus mama's, negeer niet de pijn die je voelt aan heupen, knieën, liezen, armen, want dat is vaak de oorzaak van grote blessures die in latere perioden negatieve gevolgen met zich mee brengen.

Often we act through certain emotion. Emotions affect our state of mind and that leads to actions that we might not always be fund of. For example, Binge Eating (emotional eating). Usually, people tend to binge while they are in a certain state of mind where certain emotion is present. For example, they are sad, bored, stressed, excited, depressed, etc. What is important to understand is that binge is a short term satisfier. You might feel good for a moment but after that binge, the reality strikes in and realising how much you have eaten often ends up in very low self esteem. People tend to punish themselves after eating excessive amount of food. 🍛🍝 .

First step is understanding what emotion drives your binge. Ask yourself "How am I feeling right now"? Are you tired, are you bored, are you sad? Whatever that is, understanding what drives your binge will help you deal with it.  Next time this happens, remember it is a short term pleasure and is simply not worth it. ❤

So maybe you’ve already got that fitness motivation. Great. But we’ve been here before. A week, maybe two weeks of awesomeness before old habits start to creep in. So what can you do this time round to make sure you stay motivated and committed?

Maybe it was a meticulously planned summer shred diet that lasted until lunchtime or a lean bulk that quickly turned dirty. Don’t worry, I’ve got some sneaky tips and hacks to help you move past ‘motivated’ into the magical world of ‘dedicated’. 1.Meal prep for the morning
You’ve had a bad day, you’re tired and someone at the gym was curling in the squat rack… your squat rack. Before you let yourself collapse onto the sofa with the TV remote/jumbo-sized Pringles can, STOP.

For the ultimate gym motivation, prep your food and your kit for tomorrow. Don’t sit down, don’t get changed, do not pass go. Break whatever ‘honey-I’m-home routine’ you have, until tomorrow’s food, supplements and kit are prepped, boxed and neatly stacked ready for you to just pick up and go.

2. Don’t be afraid of imagery
.
You may have a picture of a shirtless Jake Gyllenhaal taped to your bathroom mirror for… reasons. You might have also just seen Southpaw and decided you need to get super-shredded.

Whatever your workout inspiration, we’re visual creatures, so use visual prompts to your advantage. Use that image for motivation to get out of bed when your alarm goes off, put it on your fridge door, or gaze at it longingly before legs day.

3. Sort out your playlist
.
Unless the radio or whatever rubbish your gym’s speakers are inflicting on you gets you going, taking some time to fine-tune your playlist is going to give you an edge. Your workout playlist is the soundtrack to your workout. Ignore it at your peril.

4. Perseverance
.
Don’t forget, motivation and dedication are ongoing processes. The most important thing is that you keep reminding yourself of why you started, how well you’re doing, and not to give up!

Sometimes getting your workout in has nothing to do with your motivation but rather your level of discipline. Everyone is always motivated - motivation just oh so conveniently has the ability to shift its attention in the face of adversity (fatigue, fear, doubt, etc.) whereas discipline just kinda hangs out!

That’s why routine is so important. It creates discipline. For example, I go to the gym even when I have no plan and no real goal I’m working towards. I’m just there because why wouldn’t I be? Haha!

I know that sounds intense, but if you just become disciplined with working out, just like you do with your career, studies, or whatever else, it becomes a whole lot easier!! This is what got me through my undergrad! So many times I just said “I don’t care anymore” but then found myself staying up all night getting the assignment done. Apparently, I still cared 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am trying to be better with eating in this regard. I am very undisciplined with my diet! 🙈 but I always find routine to help. So until I no longer bat an eye at mojitos and vegan pizza, I’m going to just do my best to keep a routine! 🍕🍹 What helps you stay on track? Are you hella motivated or just super disciplined? I wanna know!

5 TIPS FOR A MORE ACTIVE LIFE

1. CHANGE YOUR MORNING ROUTINE
Start off on the right foot and get moving as soon as you wake up: a yoga session, a short morning run, or a quick workout at the gym will crank up your circulation. You’re too tired to do sports in the morning? Try parking your car farther away from the office. If you use public transport, hop off one stop earlier and walk the rest of the way. Fresh air in the morning is invigorating! Plus: check out how to wake up without coffee…. .
2. TAKE THE STAIRS
If you want to get in shape, skip the elevator and look for a staircase. The added bonus is that you rack up a lot of steps while strengthening your quads and glutes.
3. WALKING MEETINGS
Have you ever thought about how many hours you spend in meetings per week? Sitting? Even if you don’t know the exact number of hours, one thing is for sure: it’s too many. A great way to add variety is to hold some of your meetings with colleagues while you walk! .
4. STAND UP REGULARLY!
Did you know that standing up regularly can help you lose weight? One study showed that someone weighing 65 kg would lose 10 kg in 4 years if he or she stood 6 hours everyday instead of sitting.(1) Even though this may sound unrealistic, think about spending more time standing. After all, sitting encourages poor posture, increases the risk of injury, and can destroy the benefits of your workout.
