Feeling tight and need to work on your flexibility?  Try the Brettzel stretch.  It's one of my favorite mobility drills to open up your upper back, hips and quads.

If you feel tight in any of those areas, I recommend doing it before your workouts.

To perform the stretch, lay on one side of your body with your top knee pulled up towards your belly button with the bottom hand and your quad pulled back with the top hand.

Turn your head away from the body and drop your shoulder towards the ground.  Inhale through the nose to fill your belly full of air. As you exhale, drop your shoulder towards the ground to increase the range of motion.

Repeat a few more times until your shoulder touches the ground or until you stop making progress. Perform the other side afterward.

Low carb dinner, quick & easy under 30 mins. Chicken Tostadas! 
2 guerrero tostadas shells, add salsa, then add power greens, 5 oz of grilled chicken breast seasoned with onion salt. Topped with diced red onions, cilantro, green onions. Topped with more salsa then add a little bit of cheese. Squeeze some 🍋 & add salt 👌🏽

I think Romanian Deadlifts are an underrated exercise for overall posterior chain development. Conventional Deadlifts are great and should definitely be a staple in everyone's routine, but Romanians allow you to use less weight and focus more on hypertrophy. ▫️

Pick a weight you can do for 10-15 reps, feet positioned with the bar halfway between your toes and ankles, and lift the bar to the top of your shins. While only using your hands as "hooks", keep your shoulders back, spine flat, and flex your hamstrings, glutes, hips and lower back until the weight touches your thighs. On the way down, focus on feeling a stretch in your hamstrings. Great way to get some grip training in as well!

When I first showed you guys these shorts on my insta stories, I had my doubts.... BUT a few of you guys messaged me and in the nicest way possible told me I was crazy. You said they looked great, you said you wish you could wear shorts like these(you can😉), you said my legs looked fine and in summary you were all just lovely. It was because of those kind comments that I had the confidence to wear them on my walk yesterday. I was so much cooler and they were super comfortable. Women naturally store fat in their hips, bums and thighs, because ya know, we make babies. At this stage in my journey, my bum and thighs are storing most of my body fat, so I get a little self conscious. They jiggle, I have cellulite, they eat shorts like these for breakfast BUT they are so much more then that. My legs are so much more then appearances, I am so grateful every day that I can get up and just WALK, that I can lift my children, that I can run (when the feeling takes me), that I can lift heavy loads, really just SIMPLE every day things. So when it comes down to what I wear, as long as it’s comfortable, as long as all my bits are covered, I honestly couldn’t care less if someone is offended by my cellulite or jiggly thighs, if you don’t like it, don’t look. 😉💁🏼‍♀️ DOUBLE TAP and drop a 🙌🏻 IF YOU AGREE 💕

We spend so much of our life studying the things around us instead of ourselves. It's not just going to the gym and do the same stuff over and over. Imagine doing 15 minutes on the crosstrainer, 10 minutes on the bike, then 15 minutes on the treadmill every single time you're at the gym and with the same intensity. Sooner or later, you're gonna get bored and might lose motivation. Some will stick to this routine and see it as a habit. Fair enough. But if you're one that really wants to change your body, make it fitter and stronger, you will have to change things up. You gotta shock the body more for your mind and muscles to react to new routine. Maybe stick to a routine for a month for your body to adapt. Then come up with a new routine to try. 
For example, I feel more DOMS when I change routine. Let's say, instead of doing bench press I do more chest fly crossovers. I feel more muscles working during that exercise and a day later, I feel the soreness. And I need to get my body to adapt to that exercise and become stronger over time. 
So how do we plan the next exercise? 
If you're really good, you can plan it in your head. But I tend to write it down. (Yes I have a little notebook 📓 to track my progress). This way, I can always look back at what weights I was lifting, how many sets and reps I managed, how much volume I was building, etc. 
Tomorrow is PULL DAY, for me anyway. And this is what I have :

Pull-up 5x5 
Seated row 110lbs 3x10
Lat Pulldown 100lbs 3x10
Bent over rows 25kg 3x10
Bicep curl variations.... Focus on good form, full range of motion, muscle contraction and time under tension. (busy watching fitness videos on YouTube at the moment 😎). #fitness #gymlife #gymtime
