Dumbbell Curls 3x12x

Deadlift heavy: first 2 reps felt good. 3rd rep was iffy but I think I was able to save it.

Deadlift light: these moved way smoother than my set last week.

OHP heavy: heavy AF. Bar was likely to far from my body. I felt really consumed by the weight. Tried to to get last rep all the way up but just couldn’t.

OHP light: form felt fairy good. Lost it slightly on rep 4.

The last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to really take care of my body when it comes to sleep and water. I know I wouldn’t have had as good of a workout without it. Plan ahead. Know what your getting into and have the tools to get the job done.

As a mother I find myself caring for everyone before myself. It’s a natural thing to do as a caregiver. However, I want to flip the script. I am working hard to put my self care higher on my priority list. Self care should come before dishes, laundry and cleaning. Today I woke up pumped for the gym. Only to have the day drain my energy and motivation. I was sitting on the couch after the kids went to bed contemplating my next move. I almost stayed home. But, You know what? I moved my ass to the gym instead. No time is wasted when it’s chasing your dreams. Show up for yourself. Keep the promises you make to yourself. You deserve the best care, self care!

I was supposed to hit back today but it didn't go as planned lol. I ended up showing some love to my hammies baby please! Lol. I came in struggling because my legs haven't fully recovered from last leg day. I had to rely more on my strongest muscle(my mind) to complete my workout. One thing I'm proud of are how strong my lower back and core have become. And BAM! Just like that I was onto pauses and accessories.🔥⁣

I get a lot of messages saying it’s inspirational how much I go to the gym after surgeries & being in & out of the hospital.. HOWEVER it’s not always hitting PR’s & seeing massive #gains. I weighed 110 after surgery so my goal was to gain weight. Fast forward to today, 3.5 years post my first surgery, when I reach a certain weight while deadlifting or squatting — my 6 inch incision across my abdomen HURTS LIKE HELL. So when your body talks to you.. LISTEN TO IT. Go lighter if you gotta, take rest days when needed, BUT CONTINUE TO TRAIN LIKE A FKN BEAST. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Alright, I know what you are thinking... dang this kid is gonna pass out, I mean listen to how hard he is breathing, that’s not good😂. So I am breathing so hard because I did 100 reps at 115lbs. In under 10 minutes. For a lot of you that would be easy, but I don’t bench a ton so this was a big accomplishment for me.
