Did you know…did you know that the word meditation/meditate appears in the bible 20 times? This means that a hurting heart can begin healing and restoration through MEDITATION on God. But it’s important to understand and differentiate between what the Bible says about meditation and what the world says. In our day and age, meditation is interconnected with the roots of Hinduism, this form of meditation is often practiced in many forms (yoga, exercise etc) but the central root is self-centered. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with meditating on self and taking care of self (health, diet, fitness, career) but God wants your meditation on Him. The Bible is the complete opposite of the worldview; meditation means being completely focused on a God-centered life. Joshua said it best, “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do,” – Joshua 1:8. When we seek and meditate on God daily, things begin to change, change both internally and externally.
God’s Word of HOPE says – “Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the HOPE to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.” – Ephesians 1:18
