I have a story to tell. It's a long one..⁣

When I was 17 years old I worked out at the local YMCA. I ate everything in sight cause I was a measly 130 pounds.⁣
⁣
My brother got me into the gym working out and eating like a horse and I went from 130 to 170 in 2 years. ⁣
⁣
I was more muscular then most at my age and even though I had gained alot of muscle I was also lean too.⁣
⁣
Here's where it gets fun. ⁣
⁣
One day I was at the gym just crushing another workout (probably arms) when the Personal trainer who worked there came up to me. He pulled me aside and said "we've had some complaints that you are taking and selling steroids" ⁣
I had no idea what to say other then laugh. ⁣
⁣
I asked what they said. the guy told me someone saw me taking it in the change room and said I look way too muscular plus I have acne and people on steroids get acne. also all the guys i talked to were muscular so I was obviously selling. ⁣
⁣
I continued to laugh until I realized he was serious!. ⁣
⁣
I explained to him that what they saw in the change room was Creatine, my acne ive had since I was 14 or 15. And explained I have made gains in muscle cause i work my ass off every day and eat ALOT. ⁣
⁣
He laughed and said "yah I didn't think you were but had to ask".⁣
⁣
The moral I learned here was people will go out of their way to try and justify why someone els is making progress and they never have. It was a sad lesson but not one that I didn't encounter once or twice in my years after. Probably dozens of times. ⁣
⁣
My point here is. There will always be people trying to bring down your progress and reduce your progress so they can justify their own lack of progress. ⁣
⁣
Just stay in your own lane. Surround yourself with like minded people and aim for your dreams no matter what people say. It's your life, your passions and your journey to pave. ⁣

What's your form of cardio? HIIT (high intensity intervals or LISS (low intensity steady state). Despite that boutique studios have fallen in love with HIIT (there's really no money in group classes of steady state cardio), both have varying advantages. 
A few quick tips about HIIT - you've got to hit that target HR zone (around 80-85% of your max HR, which you can estimate as 220-your age) in order to achieve the talked about benefits (increased GH output, higher after workout calorie burn, etc). Too often in the gym I see folks that are doing LIIT "low intensity interval training." If you can do intervals and still watch TV or hold a conversation -- newsflash you're going TOO SLOW!!! Pick it up! Each of the end of those intervals should leave you wanting to quit and wishing you hadn't started the workout to begin with. These are meant to be TOUGH!

Second, because the intensity is so high, HIIT workouts leave you far more prone to injuries, particularly on the hips and lower back when doing kettle bells or high intensity rowing or erging, or to the lower body when sprinting. Be sure that you keep your form intact despite upping the intensity! 
Finally, LISS has a ton of benefits, but one not discussed here is related to brain health. A recent study in the NY Times, subjected rats to both weight training, HIIT, and LISS to see which type of exercise promoted the most brain cell activity... The answer was LISS! This is likely because it functions mostly at the aerobic level of activity, which increased blood flow and circulation around the brain!

Well...it's something.

Even a small change is still a change. ☆
Just like everyone, I'm here to remind you that the time will pass anyways, so you might as well commit now.
☆
For me, in the beginning, this was very much about a quick fix. I wanted results results results and I was running myself to the ground trying to get to a place where I would be happy. ☆
Now? I'm still very much working towards that, but I have accepted change comes with time and dedication. Now this is not to say I look like the picture on the left 24/7. I very much look closer to pic on the right on an every day basis when I'm not in front of mirror flexing my body. But I'm still proud of my progress. I have been on my fitness journey for over 3 or so years and over the time, it's been constant high and lows. Constantly striving to be happier with who I am, and be better than yesterday. 
It isn't a quick fix. This is a lifestyle

So I didn’t wanna post this but I decided to so here we go,...this is the day of his surgery and the reason why I took close to month away from posting anything on IG! He came out of the surgery even better than what the doctors said was expected!! He struggled a little bit so I took some time off of work n pumping to stay in bed with him!! Now he’s just a ball of energy again and the surgery is in the back seat so we’re thankful he’s healed 100% n is back to talkative self 😬😬😬!! Let’s get these goals back on track and smash them goals!!! Went back to gym today after a 4 day weekend of bad habits. Yes, I did it again. (anyone else hearing Oops I did it again in their head?)😁 It's amazing how the body feels like it has gone back to the start after a short break. 💪

After a day that felt like a week squeezed into 10 hours, I went to gym. And although, I didn't do as well as usual, I went. I completed a 30mins cardio session cycling, a 10 minute rowing session and legs. 🙊

💁🏻‍♀️Sono Samantha, sono una ragazza di 21 anni che della vita non ha capito molto, ma che con la volontà e la forza è disposta a tutto pur di inseguire il suo sogno: ovvero trasformare la mia passione in una professione, un lavoro!🔜
Ormai sono quasi 4 anni che pratico palestra, sono sempre stata una persona attiva, amante del movimento non per questo ho alle spalle 10 anni di basket🏀 e varie competizioni atletiche. 🏃🏻‍♀️

Sono sempre stata affascinata su come il nostro corpo sia una macchina perfetta e che noi come proprietari dovremmo trattarlo e preservarlo come si deve! 
Dopo questa piccola presentazione vorrei concentrarmi sul perché io stia facendo tutto questo🤔... allora riprendendo come ho detto all’inizio voglio che questa passione per la palestra diventi il mio futuro lavoro💪🏼, è ovvio che non è solo una questione di pubblicare foto/video o ricette su questo profilo Instagram, infatti attualmente mi sto auto-formando, anche dopo esser stata seguita ed aver imparato molto dai PT in questi anni, studiando e seguendo alcuni corsi , e chissà se in un futuro ci sarà anche il passo all’università... 📚💭 in questo campo c’è bisogno di FORMARSI visto che c’è in ballo la salute sia fisica che mentale, e non basta solo essere MUSCOLOSI e GROSSI!! 🤫
