Did something different this morning and made myself a protein smoothie. I’ve realized that I don’t get enough protein in everyday. I know it’s really important to especially when doing the kind of high intensity workouts that I do. I’ve learned that if you don’t have enough protein in your system your body will start to burn your muscle instead of fat during a workout. So I’m trying to be more mindful of my protein intake. The kind people over at @ancientnutrition had sent me over some of their bone broth protein to try out and I have to say I love it. It’s 1SP per scoop, 100 calories, and has 20g of protein. I added in 8 ounces of @califiafarms unsweetened vanilla almond milk (1SP), ice (0SP), 1 scoop of the vanilla bone broth protein powder (1SP), 1/2 of a banana, strawberries, and blueberries. I don’t have smoothies enough that I usually don’t count the points for the blended fruit. I did go to my tracker and tried to figure out how I would track it if I wanted to and I must be missing something? If you know how to let me know. It’s probably so easy and basic and right in front of my face. 😆 ⠀ ⠀

Queste molecole "buone", essendo state derubate, diventano "cattive" e rubano a loro volta un elettrone alla molecola che hanno di fianco. È un effetto catena che porta al deterioramento dell'organismo: invecchiamento della pelle e degli organi, cancro, problemi cardiovascolari, perdita della massa muscolare ecc. Potete vedere questo meccanismo nella prima immagine .
💪🏼Qui entrano in gioco gli antiossidanti, molecole "eroi" che cedono il loro elettrone alle molecole "cattive" per salvare quelle "buone" .
Gli antiossidanti possono essere :
🔹️Endogeni: prodotti dall'organismo, soprattutto in seguito ad allenamento costante e ripetuto .
🔸️Esogeni: assunti con la dieta attraverso frutta e verdura .
Ma quale è il radicale libero più pericoloso? L'OSSIGENO! Ebbene si, poiché viene ossidato nel corpo producendo sostanze nocive. Ne va da sé che ogni giorno andiamo in contro all'azione dei radicali liberi e solo un assunzione costante di antiossidanti attraverso frutta e verdurs e un'attività sportiva costante di almeno 3 giorni a settimana può migliorare la situazione dello stress ossidativo.
