Why this type of training works?

If you want to lose fat, there are a couple supplements that can help you. Let me explain:

First of all, if we’re talking pure supplements here, then caffeine has been proven again and again to speed up fat loss. Personally, I take caffeine pills (because I don’t drink coffee), but you can easily get it by drinking more coffee.

Secondly, if you want to lose fat, you need to be in a Caloric deficit. On top of this, you want to be on a high protein diet. If you cannot get enough protein with food, then whey isolate will be the supplement to help you get there. Aim for an absolute minimum of 0.82g/lb, so if you’re 200lbs, that’s 164g of protein daily.

Take out weight training, and you will lose WEIGHT. In order to lose as much fat as possible, you need to hang onto your muscle, and that’s where weight training comes in. De eerste grote afspraak voor kassei-kanonnen met weersomstandigheden die begin maart wel eens bar kunnen zijn. Om die reden trainen we deze week de Vlaamse kasseienstroken, het tempo tikken op de Kapelmuur, het wiel houden van Cancellara en het inzetten van een demarrage 10 km voor de finish. Dit wil je meemaken!🙄✌

Starting to introduce moving backward, rather than always coming forward

Without a ring, it's very hard to work on movement, as there is an unlimited amount of space, but any day now we'll have a dedicated space that will replicate a 16ft boxing ring🥊
.
This will make all the difference and I'll be able to start getting my clients to think about creating an open space, and moving into it. Always trying to take the centre of the ring back👍

Problems with HIIT training:

Seen as magic- the magic is you can see the same results in a shorter period of training time providing you can reach the intensities required 85%+ max heart rate.
▪️
Any PT who can use a stopwatch calls it HIIT- a stop watch doesn't make it HIIT it just means your using IT - interval training ▪️
People forget the HIGH INTENSITY part of HIIT- yep, the first two letters and without the HI your just left with IT. You need to be prepared to work hard.

Using movements that can't be performed at a HIGH INTENSITY- we need big full body movements like squats, lunges & press ups NOT bicep curls & sit-ups.
▪️
Not allowing enough rest in order to perform at a HIGH INTENSITY - HIIT is hard but it doesn't get harder if you shorten/remove rest as then you inhibit your ability to work flat out.
You need enough rest in order to recover just enough that you can work flat out in the work intervals.
▪️
Using HIIT to often - if your really going flat out and giving your 100% in a session this will place great recovery demands on the body. I advise 1-2 sessions per week MAX 3!
▪️
Not willing to work on their weaknesses in order to improve their performance in HIIT - HIIT is great but it has its limits improving your strength & mobility outside of HIIT sessions will enable you to perform better in HIIT sessions.
▪️
Not willing to scale down movements in order to maintain HIGH INTENSITY - in order to maintain a high intensity you are better scaling a movement down & keep moving than standing there doing nothing.
▪️
Not brining the right mind set to the HIIT session - you can't push yourself to your max if your heads elsewhere.

Trying to reach a HIGH INTENSITY with an injury- people don't race cars with flat tyres, stop trying to do it with your body.

Have all these points covered and HIIT can be highly effective otherwise there's other protocols out there that might suit you better.

Seen as magic- the magic is you can see the same results in a shorter period of training time providing you can reach the intensities required 85%+ max heart rate.

Any PT who can use a stopwatch calls it HIIT- a stop watch doesn't make it HIIT it just means your using IT - interval training ▪️

This is the tidiest stack of gym mats, I have seen in a long time after finishing a session. I am absolutely stoked working with these High School Children.
 I am passionate about encouraging people of all ages to move, it is great seeing the teens getting into exercise.
 Being asked by the students to finish a high-intensity class with 10 minutes of meditation, which they had experienced in a previous yoga session, was a great confirmation to me that all ages need yoga and meditation!
The great teacher encouraged the teens to put the mats away! What a great result!
I hope there are many other schools that support sports other than the competitive.
Thankfully there are also gyms that either support schools in their efforts and some that even facilitate strength training for teens.

Happy hump day. It was an active recovery day for me. Hit up a great core and cardio workout along with a good stretch. The stepmill is one of my favourite cardio machines in the gym. There are many benefits to using the stepmill:
1. Uses the body’s largest muscles groups to lift your body weight each step
2. Maximizes cardio by raising your heart rate almost immediately 
3. Increases core muscle strength through balance
4. Builds strength and endurance 
5. Engages all muscles in your lower body (glutes/hammies/quads/calves) up to 120 times per minute. High reps build lean muscle. 
6. It’s a low impact exercise. 
Try it out next time you’re looking to change up your cardio. .

Here are a couple high intensity cardio moves that will hit the entire body. Combine them some strength based moves or do each exercise for 40 seconds then rest for 20 seconds before moving into the next. •

Here are a couple high intensity cardio moves that will hit the entire body. Combine them some strength based moves or do each exercise for 40 seconds then rest for 20 seconds before moving into the next. •

You Need To Know This If You Are Creating HIIT Workouts!!! One of the membrane transport systems that we will cover in the Assault Airbike course is the monocarboxylate transport system or MCT system.

This transport system is critical in increasing work capacity!

Here is a summary of the function of MCT:

The MCT transports pyruvate, lactate, hydrogen ions, and the ketone bodies (acetoacetate and b-hydroxybutyric- rate) across the plasma membrane of cells.

MCT has many isoforms or types. The most abundant types in the skeletal muscles are MCT1 and MCT4.

MCT1 is expressed in slow-twitch oxidative muscle fibers (type 1) which but, highly glycolytic muscle fibers (type 2b) express more of MCT4.

MCT4 exports lactate from skeletal muscle (type 2 fibers). MCT1 and MCT4 transporters 70–80% of lactate and hydrogen efflux during exercise.

That's not all that we will cover!  We will take a look at how MCT response to different HIIT protocols.

Despite a 5 yr battle fatigue finally ending, I made it to the gym 2 days in a row now, and did sprints again. Lungs feel better. Hopefully circulation improves. No longer participating in a on-going existential battle for self-worth should probably help strengthen my immune system, lower stress/inflammation and improve glucose numbers. We shall monitor and see.
