I’m not where I want to be, but I’m definitely further away from where I was. At almost 400 pounds my life was legit miserable, but I would always have a smile on my face and try my best to laugh even in the most miserable situations.  I was really great at pretending to be happy and be okay but the reality is I wasn’t.  Food was my drug and the more I ate the more I could numb the pain of life.  I’m thankful for that woman because she was doing the best she could, but I’m even more grateful for the woman I am today because I’ve made the decision to fight for my life and fight for happiness.  I refuse to just fight to stay alive, I’m fighting to THRIVE. •

The answer as always is ... it depends . 90% of the time No it really doesnt matter . ⁣

If you want to eat your last meal at 9:30 at night , cool. If you want 1500 calories in one meal (your weird) but thats ok too . So when does it matter. ⁣

2) really serious about building muscle ⁣

Research has shown your body responds better to splitting your protein into 25-30g every few hours vs like 50g all at once. ⁣

Also timing a bigger portion of your carbs for pre and post workout can really help you build muscle . Pre workout for a source of immediate fuel . Post workout to replenish muscle glycogen and build muscle (along with protein obviously) ⁣

Otherwise , eat whenever your heart desires .... k thats bad advice 😂 not WHENEVER ... but you get the idea .. right? ⁣

For people new to the process of changing their lifestyle in order to lose body fat, the initial phase doesn’t have to be rocket science.

Control your calorie intake whilst partitioning a balance of macronutrients within this calorie intake, ensure adequate hydration, develop a sleep routine and add a little activity.

Build your diet on single ingredient foods that offer high volume in order to improve digestion, offer an array of micronutrients and by default will increase satiety. Frequency of meals will always depend on convenience and your preference.

Increase hydration with simple changes such as replacing sugary drinks with a drop of sugar free squash in water aiming for approx 40ml per kg body weight of water a day. .
Improve sleep quality with setting yourself a regular bedtime, reducing daily caffeine intake and having a caffeine cut off point from 2:00pm. With this shut off electronic devices one hour before bed. .
Activity levels can be increased depending on your current circumstances. It can be as simple as taking a 30 min walk daily or hitting the gym 3 times a week. .
The most elaborate plans will be useless without any adherence. Set yourself achievable bite sized goals to gather momentum and build on these achievements over the course of your journey. Just like a person doesn’t accumulate 10kg of body fat in a week, losing it won’t happen in a week either so embrace the journey.

I had a friend try them out with me who was pretty strong and he said " dam, those are a B****" 😆😆 I love them for shoulders, core stability and engagement of the traps. 👌🏼 After that you see some shrugs and push presses. 💪🏼💪🏼 Let's go. 💥💥 -

Salmon, Asparagus, Broccoli, Baby corn and Tomatoes. .

🎊Don’t you just love a dish that you can throw together and have minimal washing up too!! 🎊

👩‍🍳Method:
1. Place salmon on a tray
2. Lightly drizzle with virgin oil
3. Throw in what ever veg you like
4. Season with black pepper, crushed chilli flakes, soy sauce and Omega mix seeds 
5. Place in oven on 200c and take out when salmon is cooked

Bent over barbell row (95lbs)

Count 5 seconds up, hold and repeat 
Single arm row with barbell and hook grip (75lbs)

👉start by laying on your back, arms above your head, and use nothing but your lower body to turn over.
👉 then completely relax your lower back and using nothing but your upper body to roll over.
👍 REALLY simple to do but the trick for making it work is only using one half of the body while the other becomes limp.
😃 this little addition into your warm ups will save you trips to the physio for back pain caused by modern living.
