I feel that intermittent fasting is vital in Keto success.

I tried keto for 5 weeks last year without adding intermittent fasting into the mix. I lost 10 pounds, which was water weight.

Fast forward to now, I decided I was going to include IF into my routine. It was a game changer!

I scoured the web trying to learn how to do IF (how long, how many days, etc.) And I actually had a hard time finding the right answers.

So I decided I was going to follow  the 16-8 eating window and I was going to do this M-F.

I have seen great results this far but I have decided I am going to start IF 4 days a week instead of 5 for alittle while.

Like I said in previous posts, I take an intuitive approach to this lifestyle and I feel like my body needs more lenience right now.

Ground turkey, chorizo, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons almond flour and desired spices. 
Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes.

I think I've got a new little friend to #grill with. Fed some ground beef to this little #kitty a couple weeks ago. Now every time I'm sitting outside reading l, it comes up to me. Even bold enough to enter my apt a couple times when I got up to use the restroom. It must really.be tired as that bowl of burger meat's been there almost 10min.

Dinner tonight was spaghetti made with spaghetti squash,  wee willy's creamy tomato sauce & ground beef. Had a mountain @zevia to drink with it. Never had spaghetti squash before and it was pretty tasty! Would definitely recommend watching a video on how to cut open the squash because they are little bitches to cut lol. Also roast for probably 40-45 minutes. I did 35 minutes and the "noodles" were still a little crunchy.

2️⃣In a food processor, pulse steamed broccoli until grated. Squeeze water out. Transfer broccoli to a large bowl and add egg, 1 cup mozzarella, and ¼ cup Parmesan. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
3️⃣Transfer dough to a parchment-lined, greased baking sheet and shape into a thin, round crust. Bake until golden and dried out, 20 minutes.

OMAD One Meal A Day

It’s quite simple ( that’s what I love about it)
.
Fast most of the day then eat your meal within 1-3 ish hrs.
.
Some days you can fast longer and other days will be shorter.
.
You make this work around your life not the other way around. Stress free.
.
If you have a party, bbq, holiday, dinner with friends or family, You don’t have to stress about not being able to participate. You just delay your eating until the special occasion.
.
This is a way of eating where you delay your eating but don’t deprive
.
I choose to eat keto because it’s how I feel best, but there are many that use OMAD and eat whatever they want and still lose weight
.
You can also extend your eating window a few extra hrs, but for best weight loss results I would say and from what I’ve read, that eating within 1 hour is best.
.
You guys know I’m new to this, but I’m sharing what I learn along the way. Weight loss is slow but steady. It’s not a quick fix /quick weight loss but you’re also not depriving yourself of food. Like you actually eat! Otherwise you can do an extended fast and lose 1lb a day 😄

Was supposed to be a chicken stirfry but I swapped it all around and used my bacon from breaky, 100g chicken and 50g veg, cooked the chicken in a little ghee instead of olive oil as I like the taste better.

I also added 1 tsp of whole egg mayo after the pic just for a bit of sauce.

CINNAMON-PECAN SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE.

For those that like crumb topping just as much as the cake 🤤. I don't know about you guys,  but if I have something too sweet first thing in the morning,  it can sometimes give me a tummy ache 😔. This one is very lightly sweetened though, which makes it a great breakfast cake option! If you want it on the sweet side, just dust it with some SF confectioners sugar, no problem!. This #coffeecake has a delicious nutty pecan topping, a light cinnamon flavor,  and a yellow cake base with a hint of sour cream.

For the cake base:
1 pouch of our yellow cake mix
1/4 cup almond flour
1/4 cup sour cream
2 TBSP coconut oil
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract

For the topping:
1/3 - 1/2 cup of finely chopped pecans
2 TBSP of almond flour
2 TBSP of @swervesweetie brown sugar
2 TBSP room temperature butter
1.5 tsp ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350°, line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper,  set aside.

In a small bowl add all of the ingredients for the crumb topping EXCEPT the butter. Blend everything really well with a spoon, then mix in the butter until fully incorporated. Set aside.

In a large mixing bowl pour in the dry cake mix and add the 1/4 cup almond flour (lightly spooned into measuring cup and then leveled off).

In another small mixing bowl mix together the sour cream,  eggs, and vanilla. Mix well. Then add it into the large mixing bowl and mix half way.  It will appear dry, don't worry. Now add in the 2 TBSP of coconut oil and mix everything until just combine and not overly lumpy.

Place dough into pan, it will be VERY thick.  Spread out with spoon as best as you can,  then finish with slightly damp fingers. Spread crumb topping even over the top, press it into the cake batter gently,  then bake for 13-14 minutes,  until set.
