I think people overlook the significance of Today. When I give workout advice or offer a regiment to somebody, I can usually predict their commitment on the spot, based on their plan to begin implementing these changes. Often, I hear the oh-so-common phrases: "I'm starting Monday," or "Next week," or "in 2018." Don't get me wrong- structure is important, but waiting is fatal. Patience is necessary, but urgency is a prerequisite in order to get what you want. You must feel obligated and PULLED towards your goal. That's why it's called a "vision." You're supposed to literally see it in front of you, getting closer and closer with every step you take & every rep you make. And you know the steps, but to ignore them by searching for shortcuts & the easy way out via procrastination - yet still expecting the same results as those who endure life - is the definition of insanity. Simply, start. Not tomorrow. Not Monday. Today. Don't read this as words from some stranger on an Instagram caption. But instead, hear this as your future self, TEARING through the spacetime continuum, grabbing you by the collar and shaking you silly- begging you to make the right decision today.
