I’m extremely proud of myself this morning. For the first time ever even though I’ve ran a marathon 4 years ago I’ve never ever been able to run against a target time. I aimed to run 1.5 miles in 9 minutes 30. Which is a stretch as considering I haven’t been running or even doing HiiT training since October 2018. However, today I battled my mind intensely for the whole distance. My body wasn’t even hurting but my mind was screaming. My mind wanted to quit like all the times it quit before. My mind reminded me how running fast just wasn’t something I could do as I got athletic asthma as I planted like a dog from 0.5 miles. But I decided I haven’t got time for my mind to win today for the first time in 27 years and I won. I promised myself at the start it didn’t matter the time no matter what I wasn’t stopping. I stayed true to my promise which honestly took everything I had mentally as my body was fine. When I hit the finish line I checked at my watch and it said, “8 minutes 41”. My mouth dropped I didn’t even know I was capable of that! I was taken a back how I could even do it. I spent 15-20 minutes repeating the time over and over again in my mind. Wondering what I was really capable of and what I let my mind stop me from achieving. I have no doubt the next time I attempt this run it’ll be even harder now as I got a time to beat, but I will do it. Not too bad for a 5 ft 1 girl who decided that the worse thing is failing. Yesterday I hit Depression to the point I had to go sleep 🤣. Constantly seeing that I had to fail again the Jerry can walk was crushing my soul, but after showing up and failing over again I learnt that’s actually the worse thing that can happen 🤣. All the details in the podcast in my bio or if stories. I challenge you to beat your mind today 💜

Felt strong and confident enough to get 320 on my back. Haven't gone over 300 lbs in over 3 months.

Not the greatest form but still able to get a couple reps in there.

Hit a double scoop of total war...might have helped me out just a little 👌

8 rep week continues and this evening's focus was on squats and overheard press. Last week when squatting I used a belt but no knee sleeves. I used knee sleeves tonight and could notice the difference. I feel like I'm cheating however they are all approved for competition use. I also feel self conscious putting this stuff on, but once I'm lifting I'm focused on that and nothing else.

Tonight's squat sets were :
3 reps of 42.5kg
3 reps of 47.5kg
8 reps of 52.5kg
8 reps of 52.5kg
8 reps + 2-3 shy of failure. I did 11
My squat PB is 60kg

I was really happy with that effort. I believe my depth was reasonably good. I am not very strong in overhead press, however I felt I managed better tonight. The reps were:
3 reps of 12.5kg
3 reps of 15kg
8 reps of 15kg
8 reps of 15kg
8 reps + of 15kg 2-3 shy of failure. I did 12
