2) You can fight the urge to give in to the lack of motivation. This colorful soup is packed with good-for-you ingredients … and it tastes amazing!
Thai Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup
1 tablespoon coconut oil1 cup diced onion2 cloves grated garlic2 tablespoons curry paste1-2 teaspoons sriracha or other hot sauce (the more, the spicier!)3 peeled and diced sweet potatoes2 cups peeled and diced carrots3 cups low-salt vegetable or chicken brothSalt and pepper to taste1 cup light coconut milk½ cup pepitas (pumpkin seeds)Optional: Lime wedge and goat cheese
Heat the oil in a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Add the onion and saute for 3 to 4 minutes before adding the garlic, ginger, curry paste and hot sauce. Saute for another couple minutes.
Add the sweet potatoes and carrots, seasoning well with salt and pepper. Mix together well so the vegetables are well-coated and then pour in the broth.
Bring the mixture to a boil, before reducing to low. Simmer for 25 minutes or until the veggies are tender.
Remove from the heat, and carefully use an immersion/stick blender to puree the soup. You also can use a high-speed blender to puree the soup in batches, being careful to avoid backsplash.
Return to the pot and stir in the coconut milk, and add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the soup topped with an optional lime wedge and sprinkling of pumpkin seeds. This also tastes great with a little goat cheese stirred in.

The amount of misinformation fed to the general public in regards to nutrition and weight loss can be frustrating beyond belief.

So many people have fallen prey to so many myths:

❌ Eat clean foods to lose fat (it’s great for overall health and contributes to fat loss, but is not the answer to losing fat)

❌ Go low carb to lose fat (if going low carb helps you lower overall calories and is sustainable, it can be a great strategy. However, there are other, more sustainable ways of losing fat for most people.)

Anyways, this graphic is mainly to show you the importance of a calorie deficit to lose fat. It is the main driver of fat loss - and you can get there several different ways.

You can continue to eat your 3 square meals as long as you are in a deficit.

If intermittent fasting helps you get in a deficit more easily (it works for many people, but isn’t for everyone), then go for it.

And hey, if you have tried keto and it is a sustainable way of eating for you, great - do it. Just remember - as aforementioned - you’ll still need to be in a deficit to lose fat.

If you’re looking for some special diet that will finally solve your fat loss, stop looking. There isn’t one.

➡️Zucchini Ravioli
▶️INGREDIENTS
Extra-virgin olive oil, for baking dish
4 medium zucchini
2 c. ricotta
1/2 c. finely grated parmesan, plus more for garnish
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/4 c. thinly sliced basil, divided
1 clove garlic, minced
kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 c. marinara
1/2 c. shredded mozzarella
▶️DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375° and grease a large baking dish with olive oil.
Make the Noodles: Slice two sides of each zucchini lengthwise to create two flat sides. Using a vegetable peeler, slice each zucchini into thin flat strips, peeling until you reach the center. These are your “noodles.”
Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine ricotta, Parmesan, egg and 2 tablespoons basil and season with salt and pepper.
Assemble the Ravioli: Lay two strips of zucchini noodles so that they overlap lengthwise. Lay two more noodles on top, perpendicular to the first strips. You should end up with a “T” shape. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of the zucchini. Bring the ends of the strips together to fold over the center, working one side at a time. Turn the ravioli over and place in the baking dish seam-side down. Repeat with remaining zucchini and filling. Pour marinara around the zucchini and top ravioli with mozzarella.
Bake until zucchini noodles are “al dente” and the cheese is melted and starting to brown on top; 25 to 30 minutes.
Top with remaining basil and Parmesan and serve.

If we consume more energy (calories ) than we burn throughout the day over time the body will have an abundance it wants to save for later in case of emergency, hence it will store that energy into a storage unit to grab for later(body fat). Unless you have a serious hormonal issue or medical problem that needs to be addressed, you are simple eating too much, and maybe you are not exercising enough or moving enough through the week. You can still eat the same foods, just maybe smaller portion sizes. Or find foods you like to munch on but are low in calories. Maybe even eat a bit higher in protein so your body burns more calories digesting and absorbing that macronutrient.

If we consume more energy (calories ) than we burn throughout the day over time the body will have an abundance it wants to save for later in case of emergency, hence it will store that energy into a storage unit to grab for later(body fat). Unless you have a serious hormonal issue or medical problem that needs to be addressed, you are simple eating too much, and maybe you are not exercising enough or moving enough through the week. 😍Tender Chicken breasts stuffed with broccoli, parmesan, cheddar, and cream cheese 🧀This quick flavor-packed meal is bursting with flavor and texture and makes a delicious low-carb dinner.🥦

For the chicken
4 chicken breasts
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning optional
1 teaspoon paprika optional
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the filling
2 cups broccoli florets
1/4 cup bell pepper minced
1/2 cup cheddar cheese or melting cheese of choice
4 ounces cream cheese softened
¼ cup grated Parmesan
2 cloves garlic minced
salt and pepper
To steam broccoli: Chop the broccoli florets into small pieces. Put all the broccoli in a microwave-safe bowl and about 2 tablespoons water. add water. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes. Alternatively, steam on stove-top or blanch in boiling water for 1 minutes. Use a sharp knife to slice each chicken breasts horizontally to form a pocket. Be sure not stop cutting about 1/2 inch from the ends and sides. Season chicken breasts with a generous sprinkle of Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. 
In a large bowl, combine the steam and chopped broccoli, bell pepper, garlic, cheeses and salt & Pepper; set aside. Spoon the mixture into each chicken breast evenly. Secure with toothpicks if needed. 
Preheat oven to 400F. Heat 1 tablespoons oil in a large cast iron or oven-safe pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden. Cover with aluminum foil and transfer to preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.
