Topping the list of best leaders, are those of the Unova region. Now this might rufflet a few feathers (I’ll leave after that 😅)but hear me out, I feel they just did it right with this generation, the leaders felt fresher, the designs of the gyms were very interactive, the character development across the sequels, and a lot more which I’ll get into. • The first leader (s) is determined by which starter you chose, innovative 🤷🏽♂️
•Lenora’s battle being in a museum, • Elesa getting a whole new building in the sequel
• The introduction of Roxie and Marlon as new leaders, and also that Cheren (our rival from the previous game), has made it as a leader. • The way that most leaders have bits and pieces of storyline that help them contribute to the overall story, something that to this degree hadn’t been seen up until this point. • Including the way that towards the end of B+W, each leader stands with the player against the Sages of Team Plasma, at last the supposed most powerful trainers around the region are standing up for it. • The matches themselves are no joke, Lenora’s wachog is a pain to deal with due to its move retaliate and also its ability to put your Pokemon to sleep, Elesa and her use of volt switch which is highly rage worthy, and so on. • Also between the 2 first instalments, depending which one you bought, you’d face a different leader in Opelucid City, with the city also changing appearance dependant on which version you chose.
And that’s it, that concludes the list and how I rank the leaders of each region, did you agree / disagree with my picks, where would you have placed them, tell me in the comments below.
