Had a Jerry Maguire Moment! Couldn’t sleep and then I started writing this “mission statement.” READ IT BELOW.... I’ve been physically active my whole life. Never a gym rat or a fitness junky- I just didn’t feel balanced in my life if I didn’t move my body around. I’ve been a runner, a swimmer, a basketball player, and if you give me a good song and a broomstick, well that’s when things really get pumping.  But even with all of that balance and general healthy living, I NEVER focused on my core muscles. NEVER. Sit ups were the worst- as were any other abdominal exercise that I tried. I hated the feeling. There was no joy there, it just felt like torture and it wasn’t worth my time. 
But then I had four babies. And everything in my body shifted. My scoliosis became more pronounced, my hips misaligned, my pelvic floor shot, my superficial abdominal muscles literally split wide open and wouldn’t close back in. 
I tried to run again or even walk but my body felt like a creaky old house. Nothing felt right. All of a sudden I was weak and fragile. My back would go out at the slightest misstep. 
To this day I can’t remember exactly what led me to Pilates. I think it was a doctor. Or an acupuncturist? A friend? It’s all a blur. But I’ve been practicing consistently for more than 9 years now. Pilates has mended me. Yes, I still have scoliosis but Pilates has wrapped my asymmetrical frame with strong and supportive muscles. The Pilates exercises target my core BIG TIME, yet somehow it always feels delicious on my body. The stretch, the flow, the breathing- these elements distract me from all of the hard work I’m doing. Or maybe they do the opposite and allow me to focus. Either way, there is joy! There is strength. There is beautiful movement that makes me feel free. Free from pain. Free to move anyway I want to. 
My goal is to share this freedom with as many people as I can. My website and free Pilates videos are in the works! I can’t wait to share it all with you!

Joining @shainafalconefitness for #hiitmewithpilates 😀. The thing I always forget when incorporrating HIIT with anyhing is that I must maintain a gracious form 😂. Most of the times, due to the intensity, fatigue, and rush toward the clock, I compromise my form, and thats a no-no, guys.

Being a Mum, and finding time to move and regain strength can be a hard act to juggle but not impossible

Combining her love of Pilates as well as Strength Training Faye is going to be doing Mums and Bubs classes From May 6th. This class will combine Postpartum rehabilitation exercises using Pilates as well as strength training. Regain your strength with the support and guidance of a coach who has not only the education but the experience too

I switched to a vegetarian diet when I was 18 due to animal cruelty - this is my 10th year of being vegetarian! Vegetables & eggs are a big part of my diet. Carbs are also important for me to sustain my energy levels, especially on days where I have more classes to teach.

Facial once a month so the pros can take care of my skin 😆 I use a calming mosturiser every night for my sensitive & dry skin.

BANANA MUFFINS 🍌
Sometimes I bake! And it’s usually a throw it all in, don’t bother measuring deal. Which can sometimes fail. But these were a real winner, I finally got my 8 month old excited about food for the first time in 2 weeks! 👏🏽👏🏽 .

Same rule as always with muffins, add wet ingredients to dry & mix. I baked these for approx 20 mins in a 160 oven 😎
• 2 bananas (mashed)
• 1 egg
• 1/3 cup milk • 1 tsp Vanilla • 2 tbsp Honey • 1/3 cup fine oatmeal • 1 cup SR flour 
These literally took me 10 minutes to whip up, if that! Probably need a little bit of measurement perfecting but still good anyway! 😘
