Banana pancakes for breakfast or even morning tea? Yes please! They only require a few ingredients + a few minutes. I make mine just like this: 1 banana, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon of baking powder and 2 teaspoons of flour (I went for wholemeal spelt for these but coconut, almond or plain wholemeal also works a treat!). Mash the banana, whisk in the egg and mix in the rest. And my tip cooking these is to cook in butter or olive oil spread instead of actual oil + cook these on low- medium heat pouring only a few scoops of mixture per pancake. They freeze and reheat well + are great for lunch boxes. Enjoy!

Vitamin C is necessary for the growth, development and repair of body tissues. A recent meta-analysis also showed vitamin C was beneficial to people whose immune system was weakened due to stress.

While vitamin C may not be the cure for the common cold, there is good evidence to support that it helps reduce risk of developing complications when you get sick. Vitamin C itself is also a strong antioxidant that can help boost your blood antioxidant levels which in turn can help reduce risk of chronic disease.

If that’s not motivation enough to get in more Vitamin C, the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that those with the highest concentrations of vitamin C in their blood were associated with 42% lower stroke risk.
.
So don’t neglect this helpful vitamin and remember supplementation is always a great option too.

For more background info, one small orange has 51.1mg vitamin C and a medium orange has 69.7mg vitamin C. The minimum requirement for adults is about 75-90mg a day (but studies show up to 500mg a day to be beneficial).

What do you classify as beautiful? 🌹 Guarantee you’d all have a different answer. I am a massive advocate for natural beauty, little to no makeup, just the purest form of one’s self. I listened to a podcast yesterday with this message and it really spoke to me as I say this to people all the time.

I’m definitely not over here saying someone that wants to put make up on, isn’t beautiful. What girl doesn’t enjoy getting dressed up and dolling their faces up? I know I do.

I’m more so pointing out the fact that it’s so important to fully embrace the face behind that makeup when the makeup isn’t on. Be confident to head down to the shops without anything covering your own unique beauty. I personally think that every single human is beautiful without anything on their skin as that’s the face they have. That’s the face they were born with. The sole reason that beauty exists is because there is difference. Different people are attracted to these differences. That’s what so good about beauty, is that it doesn’t fall into one class, one category or one classification. It’s all about the confidence. Have the confidence, if you want to, to walk around without make up on and completely embrace the fact you look nothing like the person that walked past you or the other female with no makeup on that’s buying a coffee in front of you.

Since such a large percentage of our bodies is water, it’s logical that it plays a great role in how our body functions. Water regulates body temperature through perspiration, aids digestion, transports nutrients and oxygen to our cells, removes toxins from our body and it has so many more crucial functions. The digestion of solid foods depends on the amounts of water in the body. Constipation is a frequent symptom of dehydration. Increased water intake, along with higher fiber intake, will usually eliminate this problem.

Water flushes toxins from the body. Water helps our joints move freely. The cartilage found at the ends of long bones and between the spinal discs contains high percentage of water, which serves as a lubricant during the movement of the joint. Joint pain usually decreases with increased water intake and flexing exercises that bring blood to the joints. Water also acts as a cushion between internal organs and protects them.
