Strength Camp tonight!.... some new moves for folk tonight.... building strength through various different exercises targeting similar muscle groups works very well to push through plateus and to switch on many more muscle fibres... This improves their recruitment enabling greater adaptations to occur.... this will also assist us when returning to more compound type moves like squat, deadlift, bench and pull ups etc.... End result if were consistent will really ramp our metabolism and burn more calories.... need to be consistent tho!.... This can sound complicated and daunting for those not familiar with regular proper strength training but it's actually really simple!... I just love the weekend when I can do a workout in the morning to set my metabolism on 🔥🔥 for the rest of the day. 
Then I keep it burning through eating snacks and meals every 2-3 hours. (Protein in both to keep hunger at bay and fuel those muscles.) This keeps my body in fat burning mode constantly. •
Today was a 40 minute weighted session including 100 weighted sit-ups and 200 weighted crunches first thing this morning. LOVED IT!

Term of the day: Desquamation. This is the natural process of the continuous shedding of dead skin cells. After the age of 25, your metabolism starts to slow down; this means the production of new skin cells slows down which means (yep, you guessed it) desquamation starts to slow down.
Using exfoliating products help aid desquamation which brightens dull appearances and makes topical treatments more effective. Depending on the type of exfoliator you use, you should try and add exfoliating 2-3 times a week to your skincare routine.

Todavía no soy experta al respecto pero el metabolismo es el mecanismo por el cual el cuerpo usa la energía que se le da. 
Todos tenemos un metabolismo basal que es la cantidad de energía necesaria que debemos consumir para mantener nuestro peso (gastar lo mismo que comemos). Por lo tanto, si comemos menos que eso, perdemos peso y si comemos más ganamos peso.

Claro, es mas complicado que eso porque hay muchos factores que afectan la ecuación pero básicamente la ecuación de la energía está conformada por energía consumida por un lado y la gastada por el otro. A su vez, la energía gastada es una combinación entre Metabolismo basal, gastos por actividades inconscientes (mover el pie, etc) y gastos por deporte o actividad. 
Ahora bien, lo importante de este discurso es primero resaltar que el metabolismo de cada persona y es diferente pero también que puede cambiar a lo largo del tiempo. Si una persona como mucho menos por un largo tiempo, el cuerpo se adapta a gastar menos energía y al revés. Por lo tanto, se puede mejorar el metabolismo sin cambiar demasiado la forma corporal (claro, habrá cambios) a través de cierto tipo de actividad física y alimentación que permiten comer más sin necesariamente ganar tanto peso. Pero eso lo explico mejor otro día.

Is High Cortisol Keeping You Fat
----------------------------------------------------------
First lets make an important distinction between acute elevation and a chronic elevation of a hormone. Hormones are tightly regulated, and acute elevation is often not all that significant. The reason for this is becaus the power of hormones comes with time and consistent exposure. ----------------------------------------------------------
Say for example you have a man who decides to start taking 500mg of testosterone per week for 3 months. Then take the same man and have him take the entire 3 month supply in a single week. Who is going to get better results in terms of muscle growth and strength? Obviously taking a smaller dose consistently for a longer period yeilds better results because instead of an acute elevation you have a chronic elevation in testosterone. ----------------------------------------------------------
This is an oversimplified example but it serves its purpose. Professor Jamie Tartar studied neurobiological pathways that occur in stress responses. She has done a lot of research specifically on cortisol and attests that chronic elevation of cortisol is really quite rare.
----------------------------------------------------------
So for most people high cortisol is not to blame (or at least not the sole culprit) of their inability to decrease body fat. Chronic elevation of cortisol may occur if you have very high chronic anxiety, significant chronic sleep deprivation, maintain a caloric defecit for too long, if you get too lean (although the last one is likely not an issue outside of bodyvuilding contest prep) and more. ----------------------------------------------------------
But most people do not experience the above list to the degree that would trigger chronic cortisol elevation. That being said, it's never a bad idea to create a buffer. Try to get 8hr of restful sleep each night, eat a well balanced and healthy diet, do what you can to minimize life stress et. ----------------------------------------------------------
If you are still worried about your cortisol you can get bloodwork done to have a clear look at your hormone profile.

Timely eating has saved my hiney (...well helped me lose it...🙌🏼)! I used to wait for several hours before eating breakfast because I didn’t “feel hungry” but now I eat within the first 30-60 minutes of rising. Some posing practice from the other day after back training.  As I lean out it is cool to see the improvements I have made over the past year from staying discipline with my 5-6 meals a day and training schedule, taking off training days when I felt my body needed more rest.  In all honesty, most of my offseason I was training every other day!  Those days I trained I would train hard and heavy and no longer than an hour most of time. my body enjoyed the rest!  It is all about being in tune with your body in order to make progress.  I learn more and more about myself each year.  Everyone is different, some people can train 4 days in a row and feel fine but I couldn’t do that and recover optimally.  It’s all about patience and consistency
