It's been a while...since I posted anything...so here's my favourite accessory when it comes to running...or rather the only one....shoes.......until I start running barefoot 😅
My first pair of shoes were a basic training shoes from Puma...very basic, very less cushioning, very uncomfortable for running... nevertheless I did my first 5k in them... precious they shall be as they marked my journey on foot...❤️
My second pair was Reebok running shoes...they were comfortable to run about 5-10kms...but definitely not durable....they wear out pretty quickly....😩 My third pair was nike lunarglide....man... they're best shoes in its range.... I exploited, and peesofy-ed it completely....they are my favourite...why... because it's comfortable, durable and can sustain the wear and tear of a 6hr long run....a beginner can probably invest in these and glide their ways through the roads...
Third pair and current alternative pair is Asics gel Kayano 24...an excellent pair for all those suffering from over pronation (found out through the gait analysis) of the feet...these are stability shoes which keeps your foot straight no matter what.... this reduces the strain on the arch of feet n ankle joint...sustains the distance.. n these paired with a double layered socks...will ensure that you finish your run with almost no blisters..
The fourth pair that I bought recently n alternatively using with Asics gel Kayano 24 is Adidas pure boost DPR running shoes...these are for all those who have a wide feet... Very light, no strain whatsoever on your toes and I have had no blisters ever since I started using them... Love them... The test for these shoes will be 100kms though I bought them as back up shoes...I have only grown to love them so it's most likely I'll be using them for a major part of my run on D-day..😍 fingers crossed.... #ultrarun #first100 #shoesaremyaddiction #lifeofarunner #puma #reebok #asics #adidas #goingthedistance #milestogobeforeisleep
