There are a lot of tips and tricks in the muscle building space that can take your physique to the next level.

The trouble comes when you hop from tip to tip without ever focusing on the basics.

1000 drop sets of cable flys won't do much for you in your bench press is shit.

Do all the iso hold extension you want, they'll never beat squats.

You've got to get strong in the big movements if you want to build any appreciable amount of muscle.

Get brutally strong and be consistent getting there. You'll never progress if you're at it one week and out the next.

It takes a string of small wins. 5 lbs a week doesn't sound like much to add to your squat, but that equals 260 lbs a year if you're consistently adding it.

Don't forget to rest. I know the gym is awesome. The rush of endorphins makes you feel like a superhero. But, you don't have to be in there 8 days a week. Hit the weights HARD 3 days a week. Your body needs time to rest and grow.
