Wow, week 6 of the @munro_fitness #munrodoesmac challenge completed and that's a wrap! 🙌🙌 This week has been an amazing one for me as I managed to get back in the gym and get a run in, with 2 days burning over 3000 calories and each completing over 15,000 steps, yesss!
My favourite treat, which also happens to be a macro smasher was my Dark Chocolate Raspberry Ripple protein bar 😍😋 with only 285 calories, 22g protein, 34g fibre. I would choose it over a slab of cake any day, it tastes insane and helps me reach my goals 🌟 #winwin
I find that most of my meals now smash my macros because I plan in advance to make sure they do exactly that. I've had a few really yummy ones this week with fantastic macros, but my fave has to be last nights Chicken Shish kebabs 🤤😋😍👌 with 687 calories, 55g protein and 15g fibre.
The biggest win this week for me and over this challenge though, is that I've noticed a change in my mindset. The scales are no longer the be all and end all to me. I had another new shiny low this week of 146lbs, which of course gave me such a buzz 🎉🐝, but after taking my measurements and seeing how much I've lost over the last 6 weeks alone, that for me is mind boggling and so much more rewarding! I'm finally embracing my body and loving it for everything it is, I'm confident in my own skin and it may not be perfect (yes I've loose skin and stretch marks), but its perfect to me. I tried on this bikini I bought for our summer holiday and really liked what I saw in the mirror. Now that for me is progress 💛
This challenge came at the perfect time, it gave me the last push I needed to get to my goal weight and finally be happy with my own reflection. It's kept me motivated and accountable and now I'm so ready to move from fat loss to a maintenance journey 💪 Let's do this!
