Up and outta bed at 5:05 a.m. to get to class for 6:30 this morning.  Only I forgot it was changed to 6:45 😂

Got in a great warm up, had a blast through class, and finished it off with another round of fun on the #assaultbike 20/10 for 10 rounds.  We finished like champs @swiss_paleo and @camfitlife 🙌

Dipende dallo scopo che ti sei prefissato!
Devi sapere che durante l’allenamento, le proteine immagazzinate nei muscoli vengono scisse o danneggiate. Il giusto apporto proteico è quindi fondamentale per supportare lo sviluppo muscolare.

Nei primi 30-60 minuti dopo l’allenamento, il tuo corpo trasforma le proteine in nuova massa muscolare. Ideali sono 20 g di proteine combinati con carboidrati o aminoacidi ramificati. Sia i BCAA che i carboidrati facilmente assimilabili stimolano il rilascio di insulina. Questa ha un’azione anabolizzante cioè di costruzione muscolare e supporta il recupero muscolare dopo l’attività fisica. 🥑🥩
In linea generale devi prestare attenzione a mangiare cibi ricchi di proteine senza dimenticare la qualità. Integra la tua alimentazione con proteine vegetali: legumi, quinoa, avocado e frutta secca, per esempio, sono ricchi di micronutrienti pregiati e acidi grassi insaturi. Combinando nel modo corretto gli alimenti vegetali, riesci a coprire il tuo fabbisogno proteico anche con una dieta vegetariana. 🍉🍍🥦
Non possono poi mancare FRUTTA e VERDURA fresche, così come i carboidrati. I ceci, per esempio, contengono sia proteine che carboidrati. Questi ultimi ti aiutano a raggiungere l’eccesso calorico e ti forniscono micronutrienti importanti. Per quanto riguarda i cereali, scegli quelli integrali, meno raffinati e che possiedono un indice glicemico più basso.

So today I ended up burning 1,600 calories which is quite a lot.  My @myzonemoves belt shows the intensity of the two workouts. .
Every 5 minutes for 5 rounds 
30 Air Squats
20 Calorie Row
7 Power Snatch
Finished with a total time of 16:56. .

The I turned it up a notch and completed the #wodapalooza #wzatc #workout.  Made the mistake though and did yesterday’s rather than today .

25 minute AMRAP
50 Double Unders (majority singles for me)
30 Ball Slams
400 Meter Farmers Carry
Completed 4 rounds and some change. .
.
.
Needless to say, I’m exhausted but few good completing such a solid workout. .

Nerd alert... 😎 Data is everywhere and helps drive most of our daily decisions. And data matters more than ever when it comes to working out to get max results from the limited amount of time most of us have for working out. Here is data for my 60-min workout today that shows calories burnt (606) based on my effort (65%). All this data is thanks to @myzonemoves! I absolutely love their heart rate monitor & app. At a very high level, the app measures percentage of effort based on max. heart rate, which I love -- because it helps assess efficiency of workouts. Their calculation for measuring max. heart rate = 211 - (0.64 * your age) or a simpler calculation I use for clients is 220 - age. I reached a 65% workout efficiency today... nott my best... I reached 66% in just 51 minutes back on May 14th even though calories burnt were fewer. Swipe to see May 14th data 😃 The conclusion is, workout efficiency is key because it determines your excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC) or oxygen debt or afterburn, which improves metabolism over time 😁 Besides the blatant bragging 😇 I am also sharing this post to reinforce the importance of knowing your max. heart rate & workout efficiency. Knowing the data helps me design the right workout for my clients to get most results in the amount of time they have for working out, with or without the app 😎 Change happens in 70% - 85% of max. heart rate zone.
