Hair tip: When it comes to protecting your tresses and encouraging hair growth, it’s not so much about the product. You can use all the products in the world but if you don’t have healthy hair habits, you won’t see results. I’ll give a few tips that have worked for me:
1. Water is your friend. Don’t be afraid to cleanse your hair more than once a week. My hair loves water!! Water should also be the first ingredient in your moisturizing products.
2. Deep condition your hair!!! 3. Trim your ends regularly. You’re not going to see growth if your ends are continuously breaking off from split/knotted ends.
4. Eat your fruits and veggies. Drink lots of water. And exercise regularly. A healthy inside means a healthy outside. *** I am not a licensed cosmetologist or nutritionist. I’m just sharing what has worked for me personally. I hope these tips help!

Royal Blue, Dolly and White Cotton knots.
I didn’t cut my hair the way I intended to but I did end up trimming my ends and shaping my hair. I can tell I need a trim when I start messing with my ends and all I feel are knots. Here are some way to tell it’s time for a trim • Hair is more tangled than usual
• You have fairy knots and split ends
• The ends of your hair is thinner than the top
• Experiencing breakage

It's beachy wave and curl season! To keep your curls healthy and shiny, don't forget to seal in moisture with some leave-in conditioner and use products that contain shea butter or sesame oil for UV protection. If you need a little extra help, Strands custom hair care's always here to help you protect your beautiful head of curls.😊
Okay baes, here is my freshly washed & deep conditioned hair after my intense DC session (see previous post at your own risk 😝). #4C Hair is so CHALLENGING 🤦🏾♀️..I am battling humidity all of the time and I still can’t find the right products that will HOLD moisture into these curls...I’m thinking it’s time for one of my favorite honey based diy(s), but what do you think?? All my 4c baes, how do y’all LOCK in moisture??

Y’all know I love earrings and I just had to show these off because they have a meaningful backstory ❤️
A good sista-friend/colleague of mine sells earrings (@diasporafashiongh) direct from Ghana ❤️. Part Ghanian herself, Erica visited the country on an educational missions trip this past April where she was also able to develop Diaspora Fashion, her earring brand. I admire what she’s doing; it’s such a blessing to be able to give directly back to a community in the motherland. Check out her page and show her some love ❤️
These are the reversible earrings ($12)
