So proud of my sister for making her acting debut this week in the 'Curry Kings of Parramatta'. To see the colours and stories of our world on stage was so special. The 80 minutes running time passes like a breeze in this play centred around the desi diaspora, looking at the relationships, rivalries and tensions of desi migrant restaurant workers and their kids set in the steaming hot kitchens of Sydney’s Wigram Street, (based on the UK play 'Balti Kings'.) It's showing at the @riversideparra in western Sydney. If you haven’t had a chance - try to catch it tonight. My favourite line: ‘The samosas have silenced them’.
