A splash of color on this rainy day ☔️ I caught up with my soul sis @tayloryvonne__ whilst eating some v bomb smoothie bowls from Palm Acai Cafe.
I usually root for making your own smoothie bowls at home (for creative freedom, possible added sugars, and $$) but I love to treat my self and love to share sweet treat experiences with my friends ♥️ Tis a balance.
I ordered “Gatherer”:
açaí base, strawberry, blueberry, goji berry, organic almond butter, bee pollen, sliced almonds, granola, raw honey
Tay ordered “Palma”
açaí base, strawberry, banana, goji berry, coconut, granola, raw honey with added mango
I would like to take this time to say that fruit is aaaaamazing for you, but to also know that these bowls are like a sugar rush for your body! 🍦 Eat fruit guys yes (please) but know that an açaí bowl like this, although very nutritious, is jam packed with sugar. So be aware with when you eat this within the day, and know that if you start your day with only fruit and do not balance it will sufficient fat and protein, your blood sugar will go on quite the rollercoaster ride. 🎢
