Whilst I was cleaning the kitchen, after I’d just put dinner in the slow cooker, I was inspired to take this photo.

I love the feeling the slow cooker gives, once you put dinner on, and you no longer need to think about dinner for the day.  Its sorted!  When it comes time, all I need to do is serve into bowls! It’s awesome!

Leaves me with more time to play with the kids, or even better watch the kids play whilst I sit back to watch the evening sunset🌄 with a glass of red wine. Thank you, slow cooker. 🍷

I simply diced up two different varieties of sweet potato plus pumpkin, brussel sprouts, celery, added fresh rosemary, oregano and thyme, organic diced tomatoes, homemade bone broth, and diced lamb, an hour before serving I might pop in some green beans or asparagus as well for added greenery. 🥦  #slowcooker #nutrition #paleo #recipes #easydinner #naturopath #herbs #inspired #dinnersorted #glutenfree #dairyfree #plentyofvegetables #highfibre #sunsetenjoyment

Carrot 🥕 cake overnight oats for Easter Monday! I miss this time of the year back in UK when everything is decorated with bunny and eggs 🐰🐰. I also love these overnight oats as they are a great excuse for children to enjoy their veggies at breakfast. Here I combined 1/2 cup jumbo oats with 1cup yogurt (I use onken) and 1/2 cup whole milk. I grated the carrots finely using a Bosch food processor! Sprinkle in 1/2tsp cinnamon and a scarp of vanilla beans. Then leave the oats to soak overnight 😁 in the morning top it with your favourite toppings. I chose aquafaba whip 😍. Enjoy!

The key 🔑 is moderation and portion control.  It really is that simple.  I am starting 21Day Fix next week, looking forward to different workouts and adding in some free weights and resistance bands. .

What it’s truly about though is living, enjoying your time with friends and family & sharing memories that you can cherish forever. Lifestyle changes don’t mean that you can never eat “Holiday food” ever again. When you choose to be healthy & follow a nutrition plan it’s all about bouncing back afterwards. My biggest tip to anyone trying to stay healthy around the holidays is this. 2 years ago I did a body cleanse that led me to the Dr. Sebi diet..at that time I did the cleanse exactly one day after Passover (a Jewish holiday) started because I was thinking if I’m not going to eat gluten I might as well cleanse my body..haha. And yesterday..a day after Passover started  I decided I need to eat raw alkaline fruits and veggies for 7 days to clean my body.

So I Only eat raw fruits, veggies and some hummus of course for the next 5 days (already did 2 days) Now it’s the best time to do it because spring time is the best time to restart. 🌸😊😊🌸

First full chest day back and it went a lot better than anticipated. I unfortunately lost a good amount of weight and muscle mass over the last 5 weeks due to my hand injury, so repping 70s on incline to finish up the workout was very exciting and gives me even more motivation moving forward. I’ll be back to normal soon, and then after that there is no looking back

Here’s some tips to get back on track after a day of overeating: 
1. Drink lots of water!! Start your day with at least 2 glasses
2. Get moving: go for a walk, do a gym class, do an @abscur_fit Workout 😉 Your body and digestive system will thank you! 
3. Listen to your hunger signals: if you’re not feeling hungry you don’t have to eat! Your body may still be working through yesterday’s food! 
4. Have lots of fibre: add a cup of greens to your lunch and snack on some fruit. I know my body needs some fruit and veg today 😅
5. Eat mindfully: yes, there are chocolate and leftovers everywhere but it doesn’t mean you have to eat them all! Enjoy a serve and let your body process it before you eat 5 and feel sick 😂

You guys know when you’re out to eat with a friend, you’re eyeing their meal, because it looks so dang good, & then it’s like they answered your prayers because they say “Want a bite?” Your face lights up, & naturally, you accept & you take the BIGGEST bite humanly possible (AKA half of whatever it is they’re eating. 😂😭 or is this just me..? 🙃🤦‍♀️ But okay, that’s what happens with these guys, so beware!
