OAT Kay👌🏼 I’ve totally underestimated oats until now. I have recently been having this for breakfast and I absolutely love it. They are OATmazing 🤩 It keeps me full and energized until lunch time. Never would have thought I would be putting egg whites in my oatmeal but I tried it for the first time and it was actually super good. It makes the oats really fluffy ang you can get in some extra protein and I’m all about getting that extra protein.

A bowl of oats a day keeps this girl very happy ☺️🥣🍓!!! Today’s bowl of oats were inspired by @maddielymburner !! I ran out of fresh fruit so I decided to go with frozen berries !! Such a good mixture ✨ the base of my oats was the same as usual: quick oats, almond milk, protein powder, and cinnamon!! I topped my oats with @mayvers 5 seed protein peanut butter, frozen berries, and maple syrup!! Such an amazing combination 😋🥰 !!

The muscle gain oatmeal essentially allows you a bigger portion size higher in healthy fats from the peanut butter and more carbs from the oats/banana.

Oats are a great option to have before bed because they are rich in complex carbohydrates which will help take your body into a state of rest and digest through the parasympathetic nervous system.

If you’re looking for a second stop to your morning routine, find a breaki that you love. Something that nourishes your body and grounds your mind.

2cups water
1/2 banana
Tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 - 3/4 cups oats
.
Boil everything except oats for 5 mins, then simmer for 10. Wait until the banana starts to breakdown (natural sweetener), Then stir in the oats. Turn off and cover for 10 mins.

We’re in the heart of kapha season (late winter - spring). The cold is transitioning to warm and we’re more liking to experience allergies, colds and excess mucus. Balance your body by bringing in warming, light foods.
.
Oatmeal is warm, nourishing, and easily digested. Adjust the toppings depending your dosha or imbalance.
.
Vata: almond butter, walnuts, ripe banana, mango, agave
Pitta: berries, sunflower/pumpkin seeds, coconut shavings, maple syrup
Kapha: pomegranates, sunflower seeds (no sweetener)

Be intuitive, the above is not locked. Eat what feels GOOD.

I feel like I haven’t made oatmeal in a while. Today I made banana oatmeal: 1/2 cup rolled oats •1cup almond milk •1 banana(half chopped and add to milk and the other half sliced for garnish) •1tsp each: chia seeds, hemp seeds and flax seed. Place all ingredients in a small pot and Cooke over medium high for 5-8min. For strawberry chia jam: 1cup chopped strawberries •1tbsp maple syrup(more or less depending on your sweetness desire) •1tbsp chia seeds. Cook the strawberries water and maple syrup for about 5min. on medium high then add chia seeds and cook for another 3min. In preparation for a busy morning I made these collagen chia overnight oats last night. This is the perfect breakfast if you’re on the go, like to bring breakfast to work, or just don’t like spending much time in the kitchen in the morning! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I just add all of the ingredients into a mason jar, mix them up, pop it in the fridge over night, and that’s it! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I just used the last of it to make this bowl of oatmeal. It was so good I highly recommend. Their entire line is versatile and delicious but the salted caramel is my favorite! I made Nice Cream, Vegan French Toast, Oatmeal, and  of course enjoyed it as a coffee alternative.⁣⁣

Upriver Cacao is a great alternative to the cold Brew Starbucks. A bottled Frappuccino @Starbucks (has 46g of sugar (daily recommendation is about 70g) #vs A Midnight Mocha or Salted Caramel @uprivercacao is 21g of Coconut sugar....so Half the Calories 🙌⁣⁣

In a pot, on med low cook a cup of the Midnight Mocha brew with 1/2 cup oatmeal. Covered. Slice and caramelize the orange slices with brown sugar and a torch🔥slice strawberries in circles. Drizzle with vegan caramel (almond butter, maple syrup, coconut oil, splash of salt). Smash pecans (of course I used honey coated @costco). Enjoy.⁣⁣

Craving this quick overnight oats with every last drop of that chocolate syrup. You just can never have enough chocolate! Especially when you're having raw dark cacao with is really rich in antioxidants, protein and other micro nutrients. I’ve found dark chocolate to be my mood boosting food. It really does bring a little happy to your brain 😀😀⠀

Here's the recipe for all of these! ⠀
Layer 1/2 cup rolled oats + 1 cup almond milk + 1 tbsp almond butter. Soak overnight for for at least two hours. When ready to eat, slice in bananas and lightly mix. ⠀

For the chocolate syrup:⠀
Mix 1 tbsp raw cacao + 1 cup lightly warm water + 2 tbsp (or more if you like it sweeter) coconut sugar. Mix well, and let cool. Use water that’s not too warm but warm enough to dissolve the cacao.⠀

For the oatmeal I used Coconut milk and I tiny bit of brown sugar. I always cook my oatmeal for 2 minutes and then leave it our of flame to continue cooking and cool down a bit. The texture it is much better this way 😋 For the yellow plantains, just plain ripe yellow plantains on the grill on high until it caramelizes a lot and burns a little 😀

Heyyy! It's been a few days since I said hello to y'all. The end of this school semester (in 5 weeks) is approaching fast,which I am excited for! Procrastination seems to be the theme of the past two weeks. That is true for more than my school stuff. Obviously I have stuff to work on. My Crohn's disease is at ease at the moment, which makes me immensly happy considering how I felt two weeks ago.

I've also been on an emotional rollercoaster this last week in particular, and I didn't want to have you humans see that. I'm a lot calmer today, hence a post 😊.

I made my usual oatmeal bowl; oats, chia seeds, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, water, blueberries, almond butter, sunflower seed butter, cashew butter, and maple syrup (the maple syrup is not a normal addition, I just needed to switch it up today). Of course, I had my blueberry green tea on the side. I wish everyone a happy day!

I think almost everyone who started recovering from an eating disorder had a small or big relapse and that’s so hard to accept 🌪relapse starts with small thoughts again and choices for your ED ♣️you start thinking about food again you start exercising and food gets more important to you 🍀
And I think you don’t really realise it but you start restricting again 🙊but the problem is you don’t see it because you’re just listening to your ED all the time and it tells you you’re still in recovery 🍃But when relapse starts your family and friends can’t see it because it starts with small things but after a few weeks you loose weight again and then you’re family will recognise but then it’s often too late to do something at home again and you need to go to hospital or a clinic again ☀️I think the hardest thing is to accept that you’re relapsing and get help but that’s so damn hard
