My fave @passion4porridge_ shared this porridge recipe for mocha mochi porridge! I loved it so much! Take a look at her post if you want the recipe. I used sushi rice, pinhead oats, oat milk, frozen berries, cacao powder, cookie dough flavoured coffee, then topped with lindt choc!! It was so nice but I think I overdid the berries a bit and it was very pink but that's not a bad thing!!! All I had to say today, but hope you've all had a lovely day so far 💕

Looking back at this bfast from last week that was sorta like a cross btwn overnight oats and chia pudding....Doing research on gut health this week + have been reading lots about beta-glucan, a carb found in plant foods like oats that has been associated with lower LDL (“bad”) cholesterol levels and higher HDL (“good”) cholesterol levels. It’s also thought to support the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut. Wanna get in on the action?👇🏽

Combine in a container and refrigerate overnight:
1/2 C organic rolled oats
1/2 C milk of choice
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 banana, sliced
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
Dash of cinnamon
Option to add honey or maple syrup for sweetness

In the a.m., top it! I threw a blob of creamy PB + chopped dried figs (obsessed lately) on mine.

Chocolate and biscoff oats cooked on water and almond milk(!!) for breakfast this morning✨
Once again enjoyed before work. Hadn’t prepared anything to bring with me and my mind was racing. Solution was whisking something together before changing my mind🤷🏽‍♀️ Post picture I ended up by the cupboard driven by a wonder to how biscoff and pb would taste together. Verdict: best thing every. Beats every other combo out there.
My lunch sucks. It really doesn’t live up to what should be my recovery strategy... think that’s why I managed so many spoonfuls before leaving.

I was awake all night feeling nauseous, and still feel it now but I read that ginger can help with feeling sick so I made a bowl of oats with THREE types of ginger in it: ground ginger, fresh sliced ginger and crystallised ginger.
I don’t know if it worked as well as I hoped but it tasted pretty good.

Step2️⃣Probabilmente se educate‼️ il vostro palato, corpo e mente, avrete più spesso voglia di qualcosa che non sia troppo dolce o lavorato. Magari 1/2 volte a settimana avete voglia di torte (e ve le mangiate) e le altre di alimenti meno zuccherini ed elaborati. 
Step3️⃣Mangiare sano diventa una necessità e un piacere‼️ Non una fatica, anzi, è quello che si preferisce (il più delle volte‼️). .

Another nut butter review! Again by @pronuts_butters : Apple Crumble Cashew Butter!
I am addicted to this. I ate about 3/4 of the tub in 48 hours. It’s too good! It’s definitely my favourite from the @pronuts_butters range.
Like all of the others, it is very thick and crumbly like a cookie dough. It comes with a layer of custard topping that is like the middle of a custard cream, and biscuit pieces on top too. I love that little extra touch- it does make you feel like you’re about to dive in to some crumble!
You get a sweet apple-cinnamon flavour throughout, and the custard layer (if you mix it in like I did) adds a vanilla creaminess. The cashews help it taste like a crumble with the nutty edge. It’s slightly salty too so it does taste like nuts. They don’t get lost amongst the rest of the flavours.
Throughout the jar are little apple pieces that are squishy and chewy. They explode a fresh apple flavour onto your tastebuds. I’m obsessed with them. It’s just so pleasurable for your senses.
This gets a 10/10 from me!

I also tried this @cloud10snacks marshmallow crispy treat for the first time and I am blown away by how amazing this thing is. It was super soft, goey, crispy, and, not to mention, high in protein😋 @eatenlightened is killing the game with all of their products.

I also topped this sick cookie with a chocolate drizzle and mini m&ms. Oh! I almost forgot to mention that it was also stuffed with mini m&ms aswell😝 You can never have enough chocolate in you life folks! Especially in cookies!

- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 2 tbsp powdered peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp sweetener
- a pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp liquid (milk, water, Walden farms, etc)

In a blender, blend together chickpeas, salt, sweetener, liquid of choice and vanilla extract. Remove contents from blender and fold in protein powder + powdered peanut butter. It should come out thick and pretty dry. Spoon 1/3 recipe into a skillet (mine is 5 inches 1/2” thick) sprayed with non stick spray. Bake at 375 for 12-14 minutes for a perfect consistency. Top with goodies😋

Now, I totally agree that cauliflower is taking over the world and sneaking it's way into just about everything these days. Some of these ideas I like, and sometimes I just want a regular carb-filled pizza crust or gnocchi. But I ALWAYS support sneaking vegetables into breakfast, especially when you cannot even taste them. Enter, cauliflower oats! I know I am late to the party with this concept, but am so glad I finally tried it out 💯

Recipe (made 3 servings):⁣
1 cup steel cut oats⁣
2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)⁣
2 tbsp chia seeds ⁣
apple pie spice or cinnamon to taste⁣
1 cup frozen cauliflower rice (@greengiant riced veggies cauliflower)⁣
Put all ingredients except the cauliflower in a pot and bring to a bowl. Stir in the the riced cauliflower and bring heat down to medium. Cook for about 5 minutes, until desired consistency, stirring throughout. ⁣

I never get tired of seeing #oatporn (is that a thing?) on the 'gram and I hope you feel the same way! 😍⁣

Now, I totally agree that cauliflower is taking over the world and sneaking it's way into just about everything these days. Some of these ideas I like, and sometimes I just want a regular carb-filled pizza crust or gnocchi. But I ALWAYS support sneaking vegetables into breakfast, especially when you cannot even taste them. Enter, cauliflower oats! I know I am late to the party with this concept, but am so glad I finally tried it out 💯

Recipe (made 3 servings):⁣
1 cup steel cut oats⁣
2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk (or milk of choice)⁣
2 tbsp chia seeds ⁣
apple pie spice or cinnamon to taste⁣
1 cup frozen cauliflower rice (@greengiant riced veggies cauliflower)⁣
Put all ingredients except the cauliflower in a pot and bring to a bowl. Stir in the the riced cauliflower and bring heat down to medium. Cook for about 5 minutes, until desired consistency, stirring throughout. ⁣

Organic honey crisp apples are on sale @wholefoods this week so it looks like this fall oatmeal bowl is happening again! 😍🍎 it’s super easy to mix 2 tbsp. of canned pumpkin purée into oatmeal, or yogurt that is high in protein and low in sugar to add extra vitamins, minerals, fiber & flavor! 🎃 You know I’m game for it all year long! I always thought I was an introvert until Friday night.
Then I realised that I was just a shy extrovert.
Intro/extroversion is all about how you feel after social interactions: 
If you feel like you need time to yourself to recharge after being with other people, then you are most likely an introvert.
If you feel energised after being social, then you are most likely an extrovert. 
On Friday I went out with a group of friends and I had the best time ever. On Saturday I was still buzzing and felt great (despite my flu emerging!). I realised that it’s my mental illnesses convincing me that I prefer to be alone and that a life in isolation is what I want. 
But my mental illness isn’t me, and when I went out on Friday I realised that once and for all.
I’m glad I have. My belief that being alone is where I am happiest would’ve affected everything: my relationships, my uni choices, my general happiness.
As much as we can be independent, humans are tribe creatures and need social interactions to survive!
So, thank you to my friends on Friday. I love you all xx

‘GETTING BACK ON TRACK AFTER A HOLIDAY’ ❌ How many times have you said, I need to get back on track or the diet starts on Monday after a few days away, a holiday or an indulgent weekend? That restrictive mentality is exactly what leads you to binge and eat the entire contents of your kitchen...trust me I’ve been there! After 10 days away from my usual routine of training and tracking and having enjoyed lots of delicious Austrian food for the first time I didn’t feel the need to over restrict and punish myself. Yesterday consisted of 2 breakfasts, chocolate, snacks, dessert and much more deliciousness 🤷🏼‍♀️😅 Breakfast 1: Berry overnight oats with banana 🍌
Breakfast 2: Blueberry baked oats with Greek yoghurt and @manilife_ peanut butter 🥣
Lunch: Spicy prawn and veggie rice 🍤
Snack 1: Choc chip snack a jacks with powdered PB and sugar-free jam 🥜
Dinner: Red pepper and pesto turkey pasta 🍝
Dessert: Greek yoghurt and frozen berries 🍓
Pre-bed snack: Options hot choc and dark chocolate 🍫☕️ Forget the guilt, don’t put too much pressure on yourself and look at the long term outcome. Focus on getting back into your usual routine, stop the diet mentality and just eat well. Such bad lighting, to be honest,😩😩 I hate how in the morning there is little to no light, so my room looks like an unexplored cave 😂. Either way, at least you can see what I had for breakfast before such school.

gooood morning!✨🦄did a little experimenting and ended up with these magenta coloured oats 😍 all i did was heat up some almond milk in a pan and added some frozen mixed berries, let them simmer for a minute, then threw it all over my oats (cooked separately)

🥞PROTEIN PANCAKES!🥞
A little different post today as I just have to share this recipe with you! My friend sent me this recipe, I tried it and I was amazed! These were the best pancakes I’ve made so far! Really soft, fluffy and flavourful😋

Here is the recipe📝:
.
🥞 30 g oat flour (or simply blend oats)
🥞 1/2 tsp baking powder
🥞 1 tsp cinnamon
🥞 1 tsp milled flax seeds
🥞 20 g protein powder
🥞 1 banana
🥞 2 eggs
🥞 Vanilla extract
🥞 Milk if needed (I didn’t use any)
🥞 Coconut oil
.
• Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl and leave aside for a bit
• Put the banana, eggs and the vanilla extract in a blender and blend until smooth
• Add the dry ingredients and blend until combined
• Leave the batter in the freezer for 10-15 min to rest
• Bake the pancakes on some coconut oil
• I used around 2 tbsp per pancake and got like 9-10 pancakes
• Stack ‘em up and put on whatever you like!

I put some greek yogurt (I mixed some apricot jam in it), bananas, blueberries, hazelnut butter and sprinkled with chia seeds and almonds!😍
Definitely give this a try! You won’t regret it😋
