I grew up always the heavier kid. I've been obese for as long as I can remember. I can honestly say it's always been on me and my fault that I was heavy because I put the poison into my body that turned me into my heaviest enemy. As a young adult I didn't change my eating habits. They only got worse. I used food as a coping mechanism instead of eating food to nourish my body.
Everyone has a story. There are so many people who go through a journey like mine as a child and as an adult. .
Fast forward to 2016. I was my heaviest at 357 pounds. I stood before myself in a mirror staring at myself crying. I was tired, fed up, and most importantly disappointed in myself. I said to myself, you've got to change Cara. You've got to change for your quality of life, your son, your future children, or you will DIE!
after a strict diet and lifestyle change I began the process of toning my body. I went to the gym, started cardio, then working out muscles, to strength training, and crossfit. I've channeled my food addiction and using food as a coping mechanism into training my body to be physically fit. .
Here I am 1 year and 2 months post op and I've changed my life. I went from 357 pounds to 188 pounds. I've lost a total of -169 pounds!!!.
