Open Studios is this weekend, April 27 & 28th, 1-6PM!
Come meet with our studio artists and learn more about their work.
Artist Jocelyn Chase joined Smack Mellon in 2018 as our Media Systems Manager. Jocelyn’s work resides at the intersection of art and technology, in a variety of contexts and artistic environments, over the past decade. Though she sometimes views the use of technology through a luddite’s lens, she enjoys pushing the boundaries of both analog and digital technologies in nonlinear fashions. Jocelyn also currently works as a manager for the Multimedia department at the Guggenheim Museum; over the years she has worked with numerous other museums, galleries, and educational programs in different capacities. Jocelyn is actively engaged in community-oriented projects, including working on the compost production for a neighborhood farm in Brooklyn; her artistic and creative pursuits generally involve cross-pollination between art, theory, and environmental / social justice.
We are very grateful for her kind donation to our annual benefit party raffle!
