#tbt to the 2013 @crossfitgames . This event was named “2007” because it was a repeat of the 2007 hopper workout.
1000 meter Row
then, 5 rounds:
7 Push jerks (135 / 95 lbs)
This is one of my favourite moments in competition. This event marked my first sneaky move to win the heat in the very last round. I remember being the last to come off the rower. Being last took away a lot of pressure and the focus became about catching up. My work was so clearly cut out for me that it was impossible to think about anything else expect the work I had to get done. This perspective was new to me and made me the athlete I was slowly becoming. Moral of this story? It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.
