Today I have been thinking about my identity. What is my name? Do you know my name? Do you? •
I go by many names, self-given and given by others who wanted to create their own version of me. I have been so many, yet even when I am not the original one, I am still me. •
Let me put it like this: I am a tree 🌳 And I am composed of many branches, all shapes and sizes. There is nothing you could see twice when you look into the details. Each leave is so unique. They all flow with the wind at their own pace and rythms. .
When you look at each branch, they all bring something unique. This quality is special and admirable. It does not mean this is separate from the tree, it is still the same tree. It so happens that this tree is so freaking flamboyant and majestic, that there are parts of the tree where those branches don't even know there's a whole lot more to it than the branches it gets to see. •
Don't put down yourself. Don't allow your true self be silenced because that was how you were before, in the past and it's ridiculous to think and act like a child, because now you are an adult. An adult is in control and knows what's up. At least that's what we'd like to think. That's the issue, wanting to be in #control . •
Allow yourself to be like those leaves and branches and flow with the wind. Be a child. Don't be ridiculous and get trapped on the idea that you cannot be a rational adult that lives from the heart like a child. Go back to those days or just start learning how to play and be creative. Make up stories and imagine yourself as a wonderful character, make it the best version of how you perceive yourself to be in your wildest dreams and then, go out to the world and be that at least for one day. •
Let them call us crazy for not making our minds up, being #wild and #free . As we #play , we remember and bring back pieces of our being.
You are free to be YOU. Come back! 💙 •
