Saddle is a Yin yoga pose targetting mostly the large quadriceps group of muscles on the front of the thighs, as well as the hip flexors and the abs. It also gives some gentle compression to the lower back.

The support in front allows me to get my knees closer to the ground and prevents me from leaning back as much, which takes stress off the RF but adds it to the VMO. It also let's me push off allowing me to continue the set. The band allows for a fairly difficult TKE at the finish.

Almost always keep it pretty simple on legs. Squats, front squats, leg press, hack squat and leg extension are pretty much staples for quads. I usually choose 3 to 4 of them and hit some solide sets finished with a little hamstrings, abs and grip work.

Today was an interesting day at the gym, I worked on my form with front and back squats. Form is very important before adding weights and going heavy! Make sure your form is correct! Today, my form was terrible when I performed the back squats, I realized that ankles were really weak and weren’t flexible! As result, my knees would cave in together! SHOUT OUT TO @Fathers.in.training for his help today! But on the bright side I killed the Hip Thrust today! 👏🏾👏🏾 Stay positive and blessed! ✌🏾❤️

Getting back up there in terms of weight. The most frustrating part of starting the offseason is catching back up to where you were before the season started, then surpassing it. Box squats from today, deadlift from earlier this week. Didn’t go too heavy on deads, but form was definitely off. Only the second time deadlifting since getting my finger brace off. We gettin there 💪🏾💯💯

The front squat is usually associated with being more "quad dominant" than the traditional BB back squat.  But is this true?
- - -
We have to look at the difference in structure of the individual. For most people, the front squat is LESS quadriceps because the distance between the knee and the load (called the "moment") actually decreases and the exercise becomes more hip dominant.
- - -
This can be for several possible reasons, all based on an individuals structure and mobility.
- - -
Make sure you are assessing how an exercise fits you both structurally and based on your goal.

When training for a stimulus its important not to limit yourself only to completing you weaket position.  As a muscle fatigues, it will lose strength at a faster rate in the shorter position.  This means that if you stop when you can no longer get to the fully shortened left, there is still a lot of output left in the rest of the contractile length.

So when you really want to take a muscle to failure, depending on the stimulus, you may need to take it to failure at every part of the range of motion.  This is a way of getting to a much greater degree of failure with a single exercise.
- - -
Two important things to note.

1 - You should not perform all sets like this, maybe 1-2 per workout, if the stimulus even requires it.

2 -This works mainly in exercises that are hardest in the short position. It will not work in an exercise like the squat or bench press that are hardest in the lengthened position.  It's also safer to do these in machines or exercises where you can't get burried by the weight as you fatigue.

Les dejo esta tremenda rutina de piernas y glúteos... háganla y van a ver lo que les digo. Se van a acordar de mi y de algunos familiares también 🤭. Ejercicios ▶️ Sentadilla sumo (4x10/12 rep). Al extender, llevar la cadera levemente hacia adelante trabando glúteos.
▶️ Elevación de piernas lateral con banda (4xfallo)
▶️ Peso muerto rumano con barra (4x12 rep)
▶️ Peso muerto con mancuerna a una pierna (4x10 rep)
▶️ Camila de isquio (1rep = pierna derecha + pierna izquierda + piernas simultáneas). 4 series de 8 rep.
▶️ Isquio en máquina (4x12 rep). Luego de la contracción muscular, volver aguantando el peso para trabajar la fase excéntrica del movimiento.
▶️ Gemelos en prensa (5 rep completas + 10 rep en 2 tiempos)

Les dejo esta tremenda rutina de piernas y glúteos... háganla y van a ver lo que les digo. Se van a acordar de mi y de algunos familiares también 🤭. Ejercicios ▶️ Sentadilla sumo (4x10/12 rep). Al extender, llevar la cadera levemente hacia adelante trabando glúteos.
▶️ Elevación de piernas lateral con banda (4xfallo)
▶️ Peso muerto rumano con barra (4x12 rep)
▶️ Peso muerto con mancuerna a una pierna (4x10 rep)
▶️ Camila de isquio (1rep = pierna derecha + pierna izquierda + piernas simultáneas). 4 series de 8 rep.
▶️ Isquio en máquina (4x12 rep). Luego de la contracción muscular, volver aguantando el peso para trabajar la fase excéntrica del movimiento.
▶️ Gemelos en prensa (5 rep completas + 10 rep en 2 tiempos)

Leg Day Finisher🔥🔥🔥
I thought I’d share my last set so you understand why I walk like this after leg day. Though I’m not a big fan of feet it’s important to watch how they’re placed if you want to try this out. See below:

Quads: 3 sets (medium weight)
10x ‘pigeon toe’ leg raises
10x ‘ plié’ leg raises 
10x ‘regular smegular’ leg raises
Super set with:
Hammies: 3 sets (high to low weight)
10x Heavy leg curls (don’t arch your back)
10x Medium weight leg curl with double pulse at the bottom.

If you’re not walking like me by your second set you can go heavier.

Mijn favoriete isolatie oefening voor de quads (bovenbenen). Mijn benen zijn vrijwel het meest ontwikkeld in vergelijking van mijn andere spieren groepen.
