🌻Vitamin C! My all time favorite serum! A good rule of thumb is to cleanse, tone, apply vitamin C serum, and then moisturize.
Vitamin C protects the skin against sun damage. It promotes cell turnover, meaning it replaces damaged skin cells with a healthy skin cells. Collagen production is extremely important to our skin, it helps with skin firmness & tightness; applying a Vitamin C serum will improve collagen production resulting in firmer/ tighter skin. Hyperpigmentation including sun spots, age spots, and melasma — occurs when melanin is overproduced in certain areas of the skin. It can also happen in areas where acne has healed. Vitamin C application has been shown to slow down the production of melanin which can help fade dark spots and lead to a more even-toned complexion. Everyone should have a Vitamin C serum in their skincare routine, Vitamin C is safe for all skin types, it is hydrating, it brightens, and firms the skin.
