Happy #humpdayπŸ‘ mid week and your mid goals so never give up! After being in gyms over 12 years I see the same patterns... alot of people go hard on Monday and  Tuesday and rest Wednesday to Sunday. To get optimal results you need at least 4 weight training sessions a week and 3 at a very minimum while doing some walking and tracking steps everyday to move that body! If you don’t use it, you definitely loose it! I take @bpi_sports #bestbccas to give me a kick and repair my muscles especially mid week. I’m also on low carbs and high protein and fat this week so this is saving me and giving me energy. Week 1 of 12 let’s all stay challenged babes!

This study was published this month and looked at "whether a warm-up routine that incor-
porates drop jumps, induces post-activation potentiation (PAP)." No surprise, "the standard warm-up did not potentiate, but rather reduced, the force-generating capacity of the muscle. We suggest that drop jumps be incorporated into warm-up routines directly before athletic performance to maximize the force-generating capacity of muscle." Arm day at the gym and to say that I'm feeling it would be an understatement, especially when you combine it with a major attack of the tooth ache. I mean, is there anything better than trying to workout when it feels like a gnome is bashing you in the side of the face with a sledgehammer?
I'm sorta struggling with arm day at the moment as it's getting colder so my hand is struggling to hold any weight at the moment (I know I should've had physio when I had the chance.)
Don't know if I should maybe move from machines over to dumbbells so that's some homework set for my rest day 😁

❀️Self Love❀️ Today as I sit here on my period struggling with how much water I’m holding on to, and how bloated I get. I wanted to talk about how to accept and love yourself at any point in your journey and accept your body as it is now. This is something I still struggle with πŸ˜ͺ but I do have a few tips to get out of the mindset of I hate how my body looks right now, and I’d like to share them. 
1.) if I am really having a bad body image day, and can’t get the negative thoughts out of my head I will just try to forget about it. The best way to stop thinking the negative thoughts is just to put on some comfy clothes turn off your phone and just do something you enjoy like read a book, draw, go for a walk. I really do believe in out of sight out of mind it can be really helpful for your mental state to just ignore your body and your negative thoughts toward your body for a while. 
2.) Another thing I will do is wear flattering clothes and do something to pamper myself. In this picture my body wasn’t exactly where I wanted it to be, but instead of dwelling on that I got a dress I knew would flatter my figure and did my makeup how I like it and I didn’t think about how I wasn’t 100% happy with where my body was all night, in fact I felt super confident like more confident than I’ve ever felt in my whole life! Wearing clothes that look good on you makes a huge difference and makes it easier to love your body now. 
3.) My last tip is to start saying every day some affirmations to yourself and your body. Start talking about the things you love about yourself for instance your hair, eyes or butt! It’s not vain or conceited to love parts of yourself and say that you do. Also just saying everyday out loud β€œI love my body, it deserves to be taken care of” or something along those lines. ✨Because the bottom line is you are valuable and have so much worth and no matter your body you are worthy of self care and love! πŸ’• 😊❀️
