Let your mind stop for a minute
and take a second to watch your thoughts.
It is really easy to let negative thoughts take over.
One worry comes, then another, then another....until it spirals completely out of control.
Before you know it, you are in a shitty mood and you don’t know how to get out of it.
When you find that you are beating down on yourself, or thinking about every little thing you have to do, or worrying about something.....
Just stop for a second and breath.
Overcomplicating things in your head is going to get you NO WHERE.
Think about the things that you are able to do IN THAT MOMENT.
If you feel like you have a million things to do and you don’t know where to start, write a list. It helps to get things on paper.
If you are worried about a million things, ask yourself: “What am I able to control RIGHT NOW?” If the answer is nothing, let yourself become comfortable in that situation. Then, come up with a game-plan when your head is clear.
Catching yourself and bringing yourself back to center with a clear mind will make you MORE productive and put you in a better mood.
It takes practice! The next time you feel like you are getting overwhelmed, try to take a step back and reevaluate.
